Thats good, ill give you 3 weeks notice ahead of time when the paper will be started, so thats plenty, also no need for coloring, lets try to keep this simple. I thank everyone for their comments. As noted before im still deciding just HOW to get this thing out, Notecards are the biggest risk since people can give them away to the wrong someones as well as be stolen (i think) A topic on the forum is just stupid since everything people need to know is already here and there are countless places that you can post what you want. The final idea i had was to make it a PDF or Word Doc and send it to an e-mail list. That way people only on the list can get it and the means of leaking is far less (as long as everyone gives the right e-mail and no one shares it) The final decision on the name and items are as follows The Imperial Courier Section 1: News and Events - Got something important to say? Thats some good info, ill defently see if i can fit him in. There is still an open spot for Radio opts so ill put him there, though i still would prefer in the future if people make the names themselves. Sadly, i said i wouldnt put characters that are already in the Ordo, you have to make a bio type thing like others had before, Name, age, species, etc etc, that way it makes it a bit easier for me to adjust the character and send him/her into the story

In terms of name, The Ordo Documenta was only temporary until i could think of something better, but Imperial Courier works just as well In terms of the events though, Agares has the right idea, its not meant to delude any top secret info, its more like a reporter getting some basic goods on an incident, like how a rivalry is going, a raid that may be planned, and even some info on what may be going around the ordo, stuff people should and may need to know, so something like Agares said This idea is how it is, no classified data, no plans of raids, just a reporter method on telling about events in the ordo

As noted in the last meeting, id be starting a monthly manuscript for the Ordo Imperialis, its called Ordo Documenta. I am currently looking for co-writers and editors to get on with me to work on this newspaper. It will be sent out once a month so there wont be a lot of constraint on time to work on this. The Documenta is split into 3 sections 1: articles and events - the "news paper" section were people can put info on upcoming things for the ordo, info about raids and past raid success/failures, any anything important to get out 2: Fiction Section - As the name suggests, any stories, poems, etc you want to share, you can make monthly excerpts that will be continued in upcoming issues or make a single short story for one 3: Art and Desgin - Want to share a work of art or get opinons on a new kind of gun? post those here (Limited space always) There could be a 4th section desgined as a classified, were squads who have openings can post info for new recruits and the like, or it could be a summary of the month, this will be still under consideration for the moment I need good and dedicated people to help with this. There wont be an issue this nor next month as id like to wait to make sure i can get some assistance. All you'll ever need to spare is one day to either write or edit something and help organize the paper before its submitted. Im still trying to figure out how to submit the paper, be it as a website, a note card, or just post it here once a month, i still need to figure the options. Actually Centurion Shavian was my idea. The name was given to me by a good friend of mine at school when i asked "Whats a good name for a commander" and thus, Shavian was created. I decided to make him the real "Bastard" CO, the hard boiled, stick-up-his-ass, flaunting commander who likes to push everyone around and splay his authority like flowers. He does have his good points, hes a very skilled Close combat fighter and wields a special weapon which shall be reviled in time. He also carries a bolt pistol which has been master crafted for him. Upon thinking this i said, "What kind of species" and that's when i decided upon a Raven, why? i guess i just wanted to create a bird character, haven't actually made one since i started writing or drawing. I'm glad you enjoy it, but i wont be able to go any further without finishing the team, if by next weekend no one submits character ideas, ill have to take it all solo which will not only put a lot of pressure on me, but also it will take much longer because my Winter semester will keep me much busier then i am with my fall stuff. SO PLEASE submit ideas, anything is good and all options are available, take a position, write a character idea and either tell me on SL, IM here, or Post it in this topic

I know you outrank me, but unless you have something useful to say...well you get the idea sir As funny as it sounds, no....im trying to keep this serious, but if you want me to do something like that, dont be afraid to toss me an idea Anyway, for just an idea, here's an excerpt of a future section Cobalt wasn't sure of these miner folk, they had been rather helpful for the past few yards, be he was running out of time. The Ordo on Titan were being hit hard, he needed to get moving, having traveled through their underground tunnels for what seemed hours now. As he walked with the mining party, he suddenly grabbed the shoulder of the lead miner "I need to get moving now!" he barked, as the miner stopped and turned, slowly removing the helmet of the suit, it reviled she was a female panther. "I know you need to get moving, that's why were taking you our way" "Your way?" Cobalt replies "Indeed" she replied with a rather sinister grin. Nodding slightly, the two miners from the rear moved forward and slowly moved aside a large boulder before them. As it moved aside on its hidden rails, Cobalt could see just what the panther girl meant; inside were several bikes of sorts, they didn't match any of the Ordo type of vehicles, their design was far sleeker then what he had seen. The bikes composed of one large tire in the front sealed with a special bumped cover to have better traction on the sand. Its body was like a dart with two fins on both the left and right of the sealed cockpit. The rear composed of a tread unit, similar to a snowmobile, but atop it was a rather large gun. Cobalt blinked as he walked over to one, it was covered in dust and sand, and by the look of the material, were very old. "Sand Skimmers, these are old babies, but they can handle better then any of your Ordo stuff on these sands." the panther girl noted as she patted Cobalt on the back "Hop on" The sudden burst from the rock cave into the open desert sun caused Cobalt to shield his eyes, he had been seated behind the driver of the lead Skimmer, none other then the female panther. It had dawned on him that these vehicles were single seat, the pilot needing to lay flat on their chest to drive, so as she lay on her stomach, hands gripping the handlebars, her ass was planted firmly against the fox's chest, almost into his face. The girl grinned as she caught him looking at it with some dismay "heheh sorry, but this is the only way we can take you" she smirked "You like it? just don't touch" she replied "i need my focus for this at the moment" "Wait...at the moment!?" Cobalt stammered back, this girl was crazy! was she really trying to hit on him now!? Suddenly there was a drawn beeping noise as the panther girl hissed "We got COMPANY!" she barked over the primitive com talkies. Cobalt turned his head slightly to see what she meant, 3 T'mek Velicons, fast attack creatures, had found them and were giving chase. They were ginormous, easily the size of one of the Ordo's Aggressor class mechs, wielding large fangs and claws. Like most T'mek, they looked like wingless dragons, but these hand longer, sleeker bodies with long necks and frills, possibly for more aerodynamic movement. They hissed with a deafening screech as they raced after the bikes like raptors after their prey. Cobalt gulped, he had never seen these kind before, what was worse, if they were using these on Titan... "BRACE!" the panther yelled as she suddenly veered to the left as one of the Velicons slammed just inches in front of them "Great, they can jump to" the panther growled "JUMP!" Cobalt exclaimed "What CANT they do!" "Shoot weapons" the panther replied, only to be proven wrong by the sudden explosion to her left as one skimmer tumbled in a ball of flame and slammed into a nearby rock face. "Whoops...guess they can do that too...."

Sorry for Double Posting, but I'm just putting up a quick fragment of what I've been writing with what i have. NOTE: This is just a rough peice to see how it may come about, as many will note, the Commander has already been done by me, but i cant go any further until i at least have a few more members for the combat team. First Arch The bitter Titan air nipped at the Duplicarius perched at his post in the North tower. He sighed as his lit cigarette continued to die from the frosty wind. He cursed under his breath, he dislike guard duty, especially during the late hours of the evening. He wasn’t alone though, several other Ordo Personnel lined the walls, each one walking back and forth from on their positions, each one feeling the blunt of the cold night on their fur or skin. The Duplicarius relit his cigarette, he was a modest built blue fox, standing around 5’7”, he had been with the Ordo for almost a year and already and was ranked E-7 in Terra, it was a long road, much longer then he had originally considered, but it was all earned through constant work and commitment for the Ordo. As the tobacco smell lingered around his muzzle he lifted his Tavor CTAR-21, a small bull pit assault rifle developed by Delta-One Industries, a modest weapon with good accuracy and rate of fire, shooting standard 5.56mm rounds in Burst, Semi and Full auto. On his back he had a P-90 SMG, another weapon that had been with him since his earlier days in the Ordo; not as accurate as his Tavor, it had a decent kick compared to most SMG’s. Though the Ordo had many other unique and powerful weapons, the Duplicarius preferred to stick with conventional weapons; he found that having too much firepower took away the nobility of a fair fight. Footfalls echoed behind him as a Triplicarius and a Milites approached, the Duplicarius quickly turned and Saluted the higher ranking officer with a swift hand to his chest “It is good to see you Triplicarius McMillian” the Duplicarius barked as the officer returned the salute, he knew this officer well. MikeMurdock McMillian, he was the one who got him into the Ordo in the first place, a level headed officer with a good conscious to boot. He had been present far longer than he had, and his rank and honors had proved it. “At ease Duplicarius” Mike replied as the blue fox stood at ease. Like him, Mike was a fox (or a wolf…it was hard to tell) wearing an advance set of Terra Officer Armor with his name printed on the rear of the neck armor. He had a pair of glasses that gave him an intelligent look, and wore the customary officer’s cap with the Ordo cross insignia printed on the center above the lip and a long trench coat. A scarf had covered up his face and most of his chest armor, signifying that he too was at the mercy of the cold. “Centurion Shavian wishes to speak with you” Mike replied as the Duplicarius gulped, he never liked his company commander, the fact that he was a raven was one thing, but his tendency to be brutal both in and out in combat with his men and fellow officers was something to be feared. More like a commissar then an officer, Shavian would continue to press his authority as well as keep everyone saluting to the creed of the Ordo, threatening to execute anyone caught lazing about on his watch to instill fear in his men. The Duplicarius nodded “Understood sir” Mike nodded in return “Milites Silver Meridoc will replace you until your return” he said as a large white/grey wolf appeared at the entrance, the Dulplicarius nodded as the E-1 saluted him and took up his position. As the pair left the cover of the wall, the frosty wind got worse as it bit again at their exposed flesh. Mike continuously lifted and adjusted his scarf as the Duplicarius tossed his butt, having finished his drag. “Nervious?” Mike asked as the blue fox looked at him. “You have no idea” he replied as they walked towards the massive metal blast door with the Ordo cross planted in the center in protective glass. As it eased open, the pair welcomed the warmth of the base, removing their gloves and scarf’s and placing them in their rightful pockets. Mike gave a sigh as he seemed to have taken a bite of his at some point, taking strands of fabric from his mouth in disgust. “The Centurion wishes to meet with you in the briefing room, he didn’t tell me why, but he must have his reasons” Mike said as he escorted the Blue fox to the elevator “Yeah, to skin me alive for a little mistake, let the fun begin” the fox thinks as the two enter the elevator “You know, if you ask me sir, I think Shavian isn’t fit to be a Centurion” the Dupolicarius replied as he lit up again, Mike shook his head as he tipped his cap forward “it’s not wise to speak such nonsense, he earned his rank like everyone else.” The blue fox nodded, he understood that Shavian had won his rank by duty and honor, but he let the power get to his head, something he really dislike in an officer. As the double doors slid open to the lower floor hallway, the Duplicarius steps out “I’m still OIC on Guard duty, I don’t want to be absent too long, he’s in the far left office” Mike replied as he saluted “Good luck” The blue fox returned the salute “Thank you sir” -- “Duplicarius Cobalt Eviendunt” muttered the raven; his black feathers were slick and fine kept as he paced back and forth in front of the sitting officer. The fox lowered his ears, he disliked his name being said in full, it reminded him too much of something he wanted to forget. Usually when Shavian did that, he had something serious to say and liked to impose his authority above any lesser officer. “Yes sir” Cobalt muttered in an unpleasant growl; the raven grimaced a bit and looked at the fox “It seems your actions around here have been noted rather well. Some yokel in high command had decided to give you a little assignment to work on. Personally I don’t think you are up to the challenge” he said tossing a folder in front of the fox as he took it “Sir?” “Don’t think I am approving this, but it seems your selected for a Trial by Fire, the Imperator wishes to see how well you can serve as squad leader, and he has a team selected for you to partake in a simple recon operation” Cobalt studied the documents, apparently someone had discovered an unusual craft on the Planet Delphie, a rather barren world near the eastern fringe; one of the far off planets in the Imperium and one recently Terra-formed for habitation. Apparently some miners came across some unknown craft that doesn’t match any from the Ordo or any other military force in this system. They say there is a strange energy emitting from it that caused most of their machines to go out of control. Command needs you to go and investigate, along with you and your squad, some units from Cohort C and B will assist in the operation. According to the info, your mission will be to secure the area and await arrival of expedition team to study the craft.” Cobalt nodded; there were a few sketchy pictures the miners had taken of the craft. From what he could tell, it was a gigantic star ship, though most was covered within the rock-bed of the mine, a single boom from the main section was revealed and stretched far down the tunnel. It was a beige/brown color, similar to sand stone, and numerous iconic runs labeled the sides; it reminded him of an Egyptian item by the color and the amount of gold used for the runes and details. As Cobalt closed the folder, the raven looked at him “I don’t want to see you go on this mission, I don’t think you’re ready for it, but for some reason the Imperator himself wishes you go.” The raven scoffed, he knew the Duplicarius had many friends in high ranks, it wasn’t any doubt that some may have put his name forward for this operation. He grumbled as he turned his back to him “You have your orders, now get out” he barked as the Duplicarius stood, saluted and left.

If this section gets put up ill have to get my story moved to it. I want to get this started but im still missing a few more characters to get a good base going.

Well, im writing something already for the Ordo, i would be more then willing to see and contribute to a writing section, possibly we can make sort of a monthly package of short stories or pieces of series fiction, its just an idea but hey it be neat to see other peoples work

True, and already i have plans for the team to face such traumatic experiences. The Team leader and Sniper have the most history behind them, and the events when they awaken the Lizards bring about their own seeds of mind pain. Seeing these millions of 4 legged arachnid like creatures pouring in relentless numbers, devouring everything in sight! Stuff like that You seem rather well tuned to this idea, if you want you can submit a character here, would be curious to see what you can come up with

Yeah, kinda changed it to a full team on the fly when i realized "5 is too small". I know a fire team is made up of 4-5 men per unit, and that was the original plan. But seeing how most squads on Ordo are set up 10 man, i did a quick change The way the formation is listed has no means to how the formation acts in the field. The heavy usually is meant to suppress the enemy and carry the most powerful weapons the team needs at the price of maneuverability and speed. Most heavies have bulky armor so they can take more punishment while their squadmates can either move around to flank or take precise shots at the enemy. The Heavy also carries Missiles to deal with enemy armor True, a grenadier ususally is armed with an Grenade Launcher attachment to their weapon, but for this case, the Grenadier indeed carries grenaded weapons, but also is skilled with CQC. Breaching and even clearing a room is his job and using his GL weapon and hand grenades to dish out disruptive explosives to the enemy will more then bring him in close once those grenades take down most of them. I actually have a few ideas for one, but like i said im still waiting for others to submit their own

Not really, but the idea is similar, the differences is these guys have (or had, its unsure) a home world, and unlike the Necrons, they cannot come back once dead. True, the trial by fire takes place on a planet nearby, but once these aliens wake up, they have their ways of finding Titan, and seeing as its the Ordos HQ, they would attack it. The thing is, during the confusion and the attack on the outpost on the planet, the T'mek take a prisoner and technology from the Ordos units stationed there, once they assimilate it, they locate Titan (by also interrogating the unfortunate Terra Personnel they caught) The Attack on Titan would be difficult because of the cold and the lay of the land, but its also to give the characters their sense of urgency on their mission. On another note, i give thanks to Samia Perun for helping develope the first character Heavy Weapons - Douglas McGraw Douglas is a Grizzly bear, despite his massive girth, he is rather soft spoken, often times doesn't like to be around people he doesn't know. He has a close relationship with the world around him and despite carrying the biggest weapons, he tends to only use them when ordered. His Canteen is always filled with maple syrup (Hes Canadian) and often takes swigs from it to give him some energy in the fight. Credit goes to Samia Peru for helping with the development of this guy
