  1. From what i see, it is indeed overkill to use a SRAW, Pulim, Adjud or any other heavy weapon against a single attacker on Titan, but there are not many cases on raids were we have faced big guns. The most notable annoyance I've seen is just wall shooting, grenades and the occasional mini-gun, but never have ive seen or even needed to use a heavy weapon of sorts, the most i ever pull out is a SAW, but that's a Automatic Rifle (A squad based MG, like a MG42L). And even still, Aryte mentions that missiles are not permitted unless told otherwise. In fact, when we did a raid against 39th at one point and the Mercs came in to assist, no one, not even the 39th had missile or heavy weapons draw. I believe this is, like Samia put out, offensive in the fact that your saying everyone in Ordo is just trigger happy for big guns and weak minded of how to keep moral high. This is wrong in every sense. Indeed it can be rather excessive to have seven Adjudicators out and firing at an enemy, but it doesn't tend to do very much against the enemy's decision to attack, they still keep coming. From recent attacks, the only true heavy ive seen was Ruins Pulim, but that was the "end all" weapon when the attacker was being a dick wad and abusing cover (then again, Agares Feild gun was another that helped kill "cover hordes") Frankly, Aryte is right about limiting heavy weapons against single attackers, like sandblasting a soda cracker, its a bit over the top. Then again, the enjoyment of blowing a rather annoying enemy up with mass fire is always pleasing in its own right, besides, we don't need big guns when several thousand rounds of ammo from assault rifle's, snipers and shotguns are tainted on one enemy.
  2. Im down to work on this, then again i did my first session this evening -3
  3. Sounds good, you don't need a Pulim or a SRAW for a small engagement
  4. I guess ill need to write up a notecard, be more than willing to teach Arma
  5. This pic is Anlyisa's pic enjoy -3 was using a new method to it, trying perspective shots
  6. What about those who you already interviewed, do they still need to send an application in?
  7. I admit i must have been one of those, but its a rather simple mistake to make a times
  8. Im all for this, i did rather well last time so i hope to do just as good if not better this time sir!
  9. Thats awesome dude, your stuff was pretty good last time i checked =3 all the best of luck from one artist to another
  10. Personally i don't know what to think or even say about this, but after thinking about it, i must say this: Imperator Aryte Vesperia, what you did was the proper choice seeing the circumstances, Dark was a threat, he was a problem that needed to be taken care of as soon as possible. His "Old" self as he claimed was a problem not just for you, or Ordo, but the entire combat community, including the IS. Wanting to cause harm to not just a person SL character but the human behind it goes against not just the IS and its ideals, but everything that SL was created for; a fantasy fictional world where one can enjoy themselves as someone or something else. A situation that's becoming so volatile requires immediate action. I must say this, doing what you did was a low blow, but admitting to the mistake you made proves you are a noble warrior. As Agares said, you didn't cover your mistake, you admitted to it, you not only showed yourself as being resourceful, but also as a better person than Dark could or would ever be. There is much, much more i can say about this situation, but i wish to remain silent about it. People may have agreed or disagreed with what i would have said towards the people involved, but i just see this as something that has been done and is over with, going far above me. I'm just a solider, im not someone who's spent months studying these events or people, im just here, my say is little compared to those who are literally on the front lines of situations like these.
  11. I personally dont know many CI members, but i have been around a few at New Jessie to grow a very distasteful view of them. Since i go in ordo armor, many have IM'ed me with rather rude comments when i kill them. One example would be a few days ago when a Chaos solider bashed me for shooting him when he began following me around the bunker after i spawned, i was unsure if he would shoot me in the back or not, so i shot him first after he began to chase my tail He began to rant how Ordo were so uptight and that they are all babies, i simply replied with killing him again with dual weilded Ravens around 3 times just for that, he didn't say much else after that
  12. Thanks for the feedback, ill be certain to hold that in mind next time i see someone hacking the door. If they do not comply and enter the base, i assume i can shoot them for their "hostile" action?
  13. Latest and final picture from the main list, DamionStJames Webb
  14. Now im not sure if this has been mentioned, but i have a few concerns about the main door into the outpost. apparently ive seen people in the civi group hacking and entering the base, now i usually don't say anything cause im not 100% sure if they are able too. In my honest opinion i think they should be given a warning for that, if i recall during my Schola, the outpost is out of bounds to civis unless escorted, but again im not sure if that is the case for these few who have done it countless times. Aside from that, i have also walked towards the main door and finding it still wide open even during an attack. I think people should remember to reset it when the Terminal says "Terminal Malfunction, please stand by" All you need to do is just press the terminal until you get a beeping sounds and then wait a few seconds (countdown is shown) until it resets and the door closes Anyway just thought id bring this up Thanks
  15. I agree, for the past few days when on SIM I've seen a number of objects laying around in areas people may have forgotten, like near the far end of the roof above the hanger, it gets rather annoying to be walking about on patrol and finding odds and ends everywhere. Its not a big deal, but cleanliness is important for professionalism
  16. This is Sera's pic, i tired my hand at drawing an Aggressor, dunno if it came out right since i haven't had a good enough look at one
  17. I agree with Samia, ranks are one thing, but personally its the enjoyment and commitment of being in the Ordo that is its own reward. Seeing other armed forces on SL and how they handle themselves is minimal compared to how well organized Ordo is. I may have rank goals, i want to get to E-5 at most in terra then transfer to Navis, maybe join an Alpha squad during that time, but its not my primary concern. Its always neat to gain a higher rank with all the fixings of an officer and all the benefits, but its also because those people have shown their commitment, loyalty and duty in the Ordo, and thus are more then granted that recognition of officer. Having fun in Ordo, just like Samia said, is the main thing, Second Life isnt meant to hold all your time, you are here to relax after a long day, to live a fantasy you wish to be part in, but constantly straining to be the best here and losing grasp on the world is a mistake ive seen in people. Just coming here after a long day is nice, its fun to unwind and chat with people, do a lil training or partake in a raid, its not something i wish to live by 24/7, but more along the lines of being as small commitment i partake to a few hours a night or so. I feel what Aryte notioned is rather fair, gaining E-1 to E-3/4 is a rather simple show of duty and commitment, but gaining higher then that should make people strive to preform the best they can, even if you know it may not be enough, by just doing what you can and getting involved is more then a reward. Who knows, someone may just comment on your skills to make you go higher. Just my lil tidbit here
  18. Do those who purchased the heavy pack have the option of getting the Pilum once its in service fully?
  19. GOOD NEWS! The Imperial Courier will have its first issue done in April. According to how the standings go for school, i have exams in the end of May/June, so that means April is relatively light for me. WHAT THIS MEANS: Okay, to start off, give a lot of slack to this paper, its my first run and the idea to how i should give it out still escapes me, im looking for ideas/comments on possible solutions, here are a few ideas we thought of as well as their possible "downsides" - Notecards - A simple form of paper work, though only meant for text, this can be given out to Ordo as a group. The downside is there is no art available for this method - Forum post - Accessible only to Ordo personnel, another good idea were both text and picture can be presented. Downside is that everything needed to be known is already here, so posting the paper and art here wouldn't get far - E-mail - Mass E-mail to all Ordo memebers, secure. Downside is people will need to give their e-mail address or join a group For me, i wouldn't mind sending out a mass e-mail, its the only viable option, its up to everyone to give their e-mail address to me, either via IM here or In world SL Secondly, we need to still hammer down the outline of the paper, i got a good amount of comments to keep with and some good suggestions to abide by, so here is how the paper will look for its first draft Section 1: News and Events - Fictional news articles about the ordo - Events that may be occuring in the future BE ADVISE: Try to REFRAIN from releasing secret data on the Titan Industries and Ordo, there can be factual events as long as you clear it with an officer. For example, a battle report about a certain raid or defense that was rather interesting to note about. or something regarding Ordo or Titan Ind in a bigger scale; for instance, growth in enrollment to Ordo and Titan Industries or a little speak about something that annoys you in the ordo, lets say, the lack of a off-duty room. basically anything that would be put in General discussion/Suggestion box can be put here as long as its kept clean and clear Section 2: Fiction and Fantasy - Short story section, includes poems, short stories, jokes, sonnets, etc Note: Mature content to be kept PG-13 at most Section 3: Comics and Cartoons - What the title says, try to relate them to Ordo Section 4: Classified - Group rosters needing man power - Openings in certain Ordo/Titan positions - Plans for projects that may need some assistance Each section will be at most 2-4 pages in Length, ill see if i cant make it a PDF file but i could use some assistance from anyone who may have more skill then I. Hope people can get some ideas forming, the deadline will be hammered out soon REMEMBER: art deadline is usually after the Article deadline, often extended an extra week. So if the articles are due by May 10th, all Art/comics are due May 17th Thanks for the support, here is the roster of positions for the article, remember, the more people on board, the better and easier it is to make the paper Head Writer/Director - Silver Meridoc Co Writer Second - Agares Tretiak Co Writer Third - Artists Head - Euro Zapatero Editor - (2 people at max) Designer and Setup -
  20. I agree with what your saying here, friendly fire mistakes can happen, especially if you have a melee weapon drawn and are running around mouselook. I did accidentally blow up a few people with my Grenades because the F6 function it was set for was next to the F4 and F5 which i use for slinging and drawing my weapon. It was a lil mistake and since i didnt want it to happen again i changed it to F12 to put it out of the way. Likewise, when i purchased some new weapons recently i tried it on the range, it may not be as fun as shooting some real targets, but dems the rulez, the range is meant to live fire train. Secodnly, and i dont mean to be prude, but there have been a few inicidents were i was killed by friendly fire. This notice goes about for lag conditions. Be sure that if you get lag, dont fire if your not facing the enemy. I was shot when someone behind me was moving too quickly/slowly in the lag, and fired at me instead of a target we both were shooting for. In the end i got shot cause he shot in my movement direction, but stuff like that gets rather annoying. As the Imperator says, spread out on the wall!
  21. sure....send me a reference snapshot....that's all i need from people when they request one. Ill be on later this afternoon so ill get started whenever i can get that from you On a side note JUST because im full of request, dosent mean i stop accepting them, i have a Backburner list that is meant for people who want to have something done but didnt get a spot on the three tier. Ill put this list in my Sig, so pay attention
  22. Xp yeah....well at least i'm not addicted to it and that's what matters Another fact about me, i love writing stories and role playing, always fun to do with friends, and i have alot of crazy ideas floating about
  23. Haha good to see you here too Melna, hope you achieve those goals =3
  24. Random Facts about me I may smoke weed once in a blue moon, but i record every event on my laptop for "research purposes" I have refused to get my G2 finding that managing a car is a lot more expensive and frustrating then buying bus fare every month (in Toronto, we have 3 sets of licenses, G1, G2 and G, G2 allows you to drive alone on normal streets and with a skilled driver on the Highway, basically your first step to freedom)
