Sculpt armor is actually less laggy in most cases, atleast most sculpt items give out smaller ARC than their prim counterparts. ARC is not necessarily an accurate projection of "lag inducing factor".

This...doesnt really change anything. The reason they didn't annouce it, was because all this stuff has had ARs before. It just makes LLs job easier. That is all. Besides, it is not like LL pays attention to ARs, or else several people in the SL military community would be banned (Christoph, Nanao, Dark Svenska (was banned on another account, and so should be banned anyways)).

Actually...the song is called The Unsung War, and is not in Dawn of War, at least not the intro. It was however used in a game called "Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War". The intro to Dawn of War:

dark color has its downsides. I would prefer us as a grey, or ACU color. Even white with a snow field would be good. Black, actually sucks. yes, it blends in to Titan. Titan can be changed. Also, this is completely defeated when people stand on the pipe, hill, or volcano, as their silhouette is then transposed over sky blue, making them an easy target. Also, EVERYONE else is black, except AN. They actually have a good idea, it keeps teamkilling to a minimum, and makes it so target checking is less necessary. If we did it though, I would prefer not to look like a lego man, in shape and color.

From Navis: Nothing new, really. Esmerald Dominiquez has not been seen around, after being around frequently during training. No new recruits, to my knowledge. Emma updated the Valkyrie, Eternity, and Navis HUD, including adding vendors to the armory. After brief turbulence in failure to communicate in the division, the issue was resolved and the process clarified for future use (see old discussion for more info). From the group-at-large: Combat seems to be going well as usual. Guard attendance waning due to the start of the fall semester (my first class is the 19th :(). Seems to be a sudden increase in Forums drama, myself and the other admins will be watching more closely. Hopefully, strict rules will not have to be set down, but will be if necessary. Also, I probably shouldn't write this at 3:30 A.M.

1) Its been addressed before. Multiple times. Unsuccessfully. 2) If you are worried so much about lag, you shouldn't be running around with basic shaders on! If you turn this off, you won't see the glow, and BAM! no graphical lag. And no, glow does not cause server lag. I don't mind the argument against glow, but I hate the "it lags" logic which does not work. Consider: it's not uniform, it makes you an easy target, it demoralizes some comrades, it gives ordo a bad look, et cetera. Not saying I support these, just giving youj all ideas so the "it lags" argument can be dropped.

I sort of like your idea, Rei, except Ordo has one of the only functional smoke grenades. Most other armies really fail in the particle department. And I really think most of the armies we attack don't diable it. Think about it, TFM? EAF? CSL? We are at a lack of quality enemies, so we could easily use this.
