  1. Open the door, get on the floor, everybody walk the dinosaur.

  2. which somewhat defeats the purpose of saying it. I personally dont think its necessary, everyone wears the hud, most people wear the radio. Its pretty common to see "(channel 1) Joe Shmoe - g " besides, you the whole point of calling it out is to make sure there is no friendly fire, but most of that is more on you to watch your fire direction and your minimap to make sure you arent clearing a room of friendlies. Yes, its more RL tactical, but its also unnecessary by SL tactics vent already has issues (sometimes) with combat clarity, and I think a bunch of people saying "frag out" would only worsen it, especially with heavy combat its hard to pinpoint WHERE thats going out, aswell if people were to do as tsume said and go "frag and clear, cooling towers" while thats alot more clear its not super necessary, and will only be talking over someone who needs a medic, or is calling for assistance to an area. In my opinion vent combat info is more about what needs done, rather than what is being done. Medic tp, backup to one area, OIC sending orders / redirecting fire. ect. When people go on about what they are doing, rather than what the team needs done, it tends to get more cluttered.
  3. if anything that actually shows skepticism. 2 million is generally a very short amount of time in a R&D type situation.
  4. tbh its likely itll be a division similar to Munitorum, as it contributes in similar ways and isnt a battle oriented or governing body. ;p
  5. Its like Ordo Google+

  6. it had similar aspects, but thats sorta where it ends. the weapons were all crazy in Tribes 2 (spinfusor was cool, you could make your first shot skip on the ground like a frisbee :P) and it did have bombers that required a pilot, bomber/gunner/ and a spot in the very back for a heavy to sit and act as AA for attacking shrikes but aside from all that, it was mostly CTF for Tribes 2. Planetside is about taking over land and bases moreso, and has requirements for gear / upgrades / MMO shite
  7. dont you dare, Tribes 2 was way better than planetside :|

haha, clever work guys. very interesting idea.
  9. It was either TR or Vanu for me. I just prefered their MAX units honestly.
  10. While I loved Planetside 1 for nearly a year, Im not sure this can be called a "true MMOFPS" by what I would really like to see in an MMOFPS though, its pretty much the closest ive seen. Im very excited, though im kind of expecting a bust just because EVERY OTHER MMOFPS HAS SO FAR TO MY DISMAY :[
  11. I liked rift alot, i just didnt have time for it. I may resubscribe... and erik, its a pimp hat with feather... its pretty ballin. TF2 free wise, I got 63 backstabs in one round because of all the new freebie players... Good times.
  12. I am saddened I was not asked if I wanted to donate :[ Id totaly have thrown in on those badasses
  13. well, this IS in the "console" forum, cant get all rageface in here about non PC games :|
  14. Not to come off dickish or anything, this game just irks me as much as the new Call of Duty but the video DOES say it all. "Original Engine" "Completely the same as original physics and gameplay" ect ect. To me this is just microsoft going back on their word (no more new Halo games for 360) and being unoriginal to the point they couldnt even come up with a new franchise. Likewise Activision just pumping out a new CoD with same old same old engine just treading water trying to sell a new game without making anything new
  15. make those burners gold plated and you have a winner.
  16. im not sure that it doesnt have anything to do with quality. Volunteering and raiding are like the root of action for SL militaries, and TBH there are plenty of people who rarely leave Titan/ only defend as is. Speaking of defence, "Black Fortress" or something like that for someone who is noted as a constant defender, and extremely noteworthy in the task.
  17. GL keeping tabs on all those raids people went to. ;p Right now I dont believe there is an automated system
  18. *coughs* they are going free to play, but are going with the micro-transaction business setup that most games are aiming themselves towards these days. Reason? It makes more money when people only pay $3 for fancypants armor than when everyone who plays pays $14 a month
  19. in truth, theres rarely ever bonuses like that. The "last stand" you refer to from MW only applies without headshot. (makes sense really.) Nobody ever gets damage reducers other than to explosives like claymores ect. BFBC the most you can get is "magnum ammo" which essentially was more punch for your guns. Usually the unlocks are rarely ever game-changers. Do they help ? of course. Are you ever SOL if you are just starting the game? Rarely if ever.
  20. Got an email, it has gone live so any person that hasn't gotten a key can play now
  21. Altus, because it creates different play styles. Each has their own advantages and disadvantages just like any RL fighting styles / martial arts ect. Obviously not based on RL standards but same concept. Its simply to more hone your play style.
  22. Well, the "best weapons" are hardly ones you have to buy with real cash. I bought like $7 to try out the ump and saw and TBH its more of an aesthetic thing. Just like the gear. You purchase on credits, which you earn for being a good player. Its generally 1000 credits to unlock 1 of the veteran weapons (the improved version of basic weapons) for 24 hours. 1000 credits isnt that hard to get TBH, about 2 successful rounds. Once you have a veteran weapon, its alot easier to maintain that surprlus of battlefield credits, and unless you wanna just look cool you dont have to spend a dime. There are -no- items that you purchase by real cash that give you any advantage thats drastic. Other than XP or CP (combat points, the free 'money') boosts that you can purcahse to level up faster or get a surplus of cash for weapons. The only thing that sucks is how much advantage the high level players have over low level, such as alot more accurate range identification and direction of fire sensory. Though if you are that higher level person its nice, and considering with time -most- people will be higher level its no big deal.
