What should I look at getting.

Please no Glocks I want to like the thing not just for use and Glocks are ugly as sin to me. Also have to adjust my grip to release mags. Limit is base price $600 that way I have $200 to pay for the taxes.

Looking at the site you provided, and the caliber you seem to favor. This looks promising, but you sacrifice a few rounds (4 to be specific) http://www.budsgunsh...uble Action Pi/ It's lighter and an all metal pistol. A lil smaller too.

If you could slide on roughly 30 dollars on your base price, I could suggest this http://www.budsgunsh...B .45acp Black/ It's a full size, but also .45ACP. Weights more, 10+1. Hi-Power and 1911s are WELL known to be great concealed carry pistols, and the CZ-75 platform pistols are just about the best of both worlds.

An even cheaper route is to get one of the EAA CZ-75 platform pistols, they have polymer and steel. Some of the polymers are bellow.

As you might know, the .40S&W was developed directly from the 10mm with assistance from the FBI. 10mm has a harder kick to it as it has a slightly longer case, and is seen by many as superior to both the .45 and the .40.

Get the RIA/Armscore and never look back. Their QC has improved plenty over the years, and its well worth the asking price. Otherwise try and find a Springfield GI (Bud's is out of stock it appears), or possibly a Loaded for the next tier up on 1911's.

If you're branching away from the M&P, don't bother with the XD.

Can't say the polymer CZ's are all that amazing, but their 97 and 75 are really sweet guns.

I have been using a full sized pistol for over a year. I'm use to them. Handling a1911 was very comfortable in my hands. I do open carry outings too.

9mm is out because winter reasons also don't like the caliber for other reasons. (also use to a .40)

I have cc my m&p in the house with little problem. Just needed a baggier shirt and waistband holster.

When I'm in my truck it's in the center console.

Bumping up to $700 because buds apparently adds the taxes into the main price and they give me a further discount ontop of that.

Carry and home defense is the point.

For the record, AlumaGrips is the place I worked with to get the custom Ordo Imperialis grips for Aryte's Birthday. If you want the ability to customize your grip to your liking (thickness, checkering style, checkering depth, engraving/etching, colors) they are pretty bad ass.

When it comes to classic arms I prefer wood. But that's me. Also the slide has "MODEL 1911A1 U.S. ARMY". So having U.S. or Army insignia on the grips will set it the way I think would look nice. I'm not exactly tactical. So all these modern grips are not exactly to my liking on a classic firearm.
