Aryte
I am genuinely interested in everyone's opinion on the recent decision to close recruitment for a while. If you're going "Huh?" then go read recent notices. Otherwise, give your comments here!Added 4/19: Recruitment will be held for ONE week beginning on the 23rd. See group notice for details. Cygna
I think it was a good thing, we need to catch up with those whom we have already recruited.
Timmahy Widget
I think we're gaining members too fast, and perhaps this is the best way to quell that.An alternative approach may be to keep registration open, but dramatically increase our standards for acceptance, such that only the best of the best get in.Though, this is SL. The "best of the best" doesn't exist readily. :\
Sosarin Demar
I agree that this is a good thing for the exact same reasons you stated in the notice.Seeing to the health of the influx of graduates as well as the established members promotes the "quality versus quantity" mentality. Cyphre Iredell
May be for the best, so long as others are allowed entrance if the are vouched for by a fellow member (or senior member I'd say).
Cyphre Iredell
Well technically the active sorts would then become senior members :PAll the current cadets and newbies should know of it and get any friends who want in to apply now.
Lestat Umarov
More people=More lag. At least until we get more sims and more people to manage the new recruits closing applications is an excellent idea at the current time.
Vix Venera
Need more people for Navis though...
Kristian
mhmm, well personally i don't think we should stop recruitment. However the requirements for joining could be a good bit higher. Personally i think ordo is and should stay superior.if i could make some new standard myself-you need to have been in one of SL's major armies for at least 1 month. (Mercz, Ordo and hell even AN)- You should have a good reason for joining ( not i want to fight for rome or something)-Someone needs to be able to confirm your SL combat status ( a voucher)
Xang Xiao
I think vouching is better than completely closing down... at least that way we might not turn away someone really good who will later become a enemy. I suggest we only allow entry to the cream of the crop until the situation is alleviated.
Keno
DID I HEAR MOAR SIMS?

Like for instance we split the last one. -Someone needs to be able to confirm their SL combat status.-Someone needs to be vouched for in terms of trustworthyness rather than ability. But that's only a suggestion. Aryte
. . Did anyone suggesting we allow vouch-ins actually read the notice? Ha ha.
Cyphre Iredell
Thats the 'what makes it acceptable' part. Makes sense really and something we always should've done to prevent all these sudden spies dropping in.
Aryte
Vouch-ins are always okay! Encouraged! Bring friends. :D I just want to cut down on random joins for a while, so we can control and set up for the wave.
