  1. Let's see...(and I'm just going to post confirmed for this year)

    Anthrocon

    Westercon

    Rainfurrest

    Orycon

    ...and yes, in that order.

EDIT: I just realized, that's all the cons that I'm going to this year.

  2. 7. SL physics are always going to be fracked up, even if it's fixed (See Raycast: Abuse, et al.).

    8. Rabbits are few, but can be very interesting at times.

    9. E-dickmeasuring contests happen, even if you try to prevent such a thing

    10. The measure of a person cannot be determined by how annoying their voice can be.

  3. I've noticed some people don't know what some of these development phases are, and have to have theme explained a bit. This is here for a quick explanation.

Alpha - This is just getting started, often times REALLY BUGGY and wanting to get features out. This is also when you start seeing new features being implemented while still under development. Nightly builds are usually of this quality.

Beta - More refined than alpha builds. Often times, buggy, may have new features come in or some adjustments to features, but at this point, it's more concentrated to get the software bugs out and get it to the next phase.

Release Candidate (RC) - These builds are close to being released and usually have little-to-no major bugs in the software. It's usually ready for the general public to try out and use.

Release/Stable Release - This is the last released build that doesn't fit in the above categories. This can also be called "going gold" or "sent to manufacturer." Once you've reached this, the next version starts back at the top, with Alpha, sometimes starting with modifications of this build.

Current Curricular/Extra Curricular Activities: Munitorum Administrative Adjutant II

Position you are wishing to be considered for (may apply for multiple but will only be selected for one): Department head

What you believe you can contribute to the OID and Ordo as a whole: Well, I bring experience from being on a college newspaper for about three years. I was a writer (3 years), Web Editor (2.5 years), and Advertising manager (1 years) for that newspaper, as well as being a web designer since the late 1990s. I am also willing to train others whom do not know how to perform an interview, and how to write according to a specific style guideline to be determined at a later date.

  5. I'm not sure if you all heard about this, but the CDC has a Zombie Apocalypse "emergency preparedness" post on their blog. It's old, but still...:P

  6. @Hokusai: Wow...just...wow. Why can't people think that one day out of the entire month, the entire group takes a breather. I personally find it helpful in the way that, at least for me, lowers burnout and has me concentrate more on other projects, either personal or Ordo-related.
