  1. You may want to amke sure it's generally clear of allied units, but no, you'd be allowed to place one -near- the entrance. The actual entrance I believe you're referring to is inside of Chronus.
  2. Lately, I've gotten a lot of questions regarding the Praetorian Guard and it's functions, duties, etc. I felt that given the volume of them, I should make a forum thread so everyone can receive the answers and maybe save everyone a bit of time! I'll cover a little ground work regarding the Guard for those of you new to the Ordo. The Praetorian Guard is the elite special branch that serves directly under the Imperator, given special powers to carry out his will. They serve as his bodyguards, enforcers, and special combat unit. Members of the Guard are usually referred to as Praetorians or Guardsmen (though a Guardsman is actually a rank as well, inside of the Guard). Currently, the Guard is undergoing a series of organizational changes and modifications to help it function better. The Guard's history is a long and illustrious one, dating back to the Alliance Navy II and the Protectorate for the Admiralty. So! With that out of the way, feel free to ask any questions you may have about the Praetorian Guard, how they functions, and so and so forth! I will occasionally refer to the Carta Praetorian, a fairly substantial document that outlines many of the duties and responsibilities of the Guard. A link to the Carta Praetorian can be found here: Carta Praetorian
  3. Det packs will not detonate or hit over sim borders. You must be in the same sim as the detpack being set off. Given that you are not permitted to enter Chronus with out express permission from the OIC, I would have to say the best you can do is set up detpacks in the tunnels on our side or on key choke points in Titan.
  4. Yeah. I don't doubt Syl's skills or her excellent products, but I know the omnitool is a device that could cause us a looooot of problems.
  5. /me looks meaningfully at Anlysia.
  6. Can't seem to find it, Intus. I see..IP board, IP board Lo-Fi IP Fury, IP Web 2.0 and Invision Arts
  7. Intus: What happened to our awesome new forum skin? ;_;
  8. High school, Spanish class. The Principal walked in and said "Terrorists hit the World Trade Center" And I walked out of the room and watched the coverage on a TV set up in the library. I really wanted to beat the ever living crap out of the 3 jocks who started laughing at a fireman who was stumbling around, covered in dust. Luckily the shop teacher was there, and he smacked them reeeaaaally hard on the back of the head. He was a big dude.
  9. [in relation to our MCM combat] Brothers and Sisters, our latest front in our expanding crusade of justice has come to us. From the distant worlds we have launched a new campaign of liberation, freeing new worlds from the hands of tyrants, brigands, and heretics, leading to what is known as the "Inner Sphere". This entire territory of space was once a traditional part of the Republic form which the Ordo Imperialis arose from, and it is long past due we welcome them back into the arms of the Imperium. Through the valiant efforts of our fleet and a select detachment of our best units, we have developed a nearly self-sufficient method of propagating our liberation of our enslaved brothers and sisters. The planets we've liberated so far are: The resort world of Plainead, taken at cost but claimed victoriously by our noble forces! The coffee producing world of Gorking, liberated from traitorous pirates and shipping magnates! The battle-hardned world of Lignus IV, taken from communists! The entertainment paradise of Achar now is filming a movie about the life of their glorious liberator, the Lord Imperator Aryte Vesperia! The vital defensive and production world of Harrison welcomed Ordo forces with open arms, allowing the Ordo Imperialis to prepare for it's next offensive! These are but a few of the victories this campaign will bring to us!
  10. Well, I've been working on a third installment. I'm just not sure I like it quite yet. I need to rewrite portions and fix a few things.
  11. Wait. Are these like you, singing them Zrazor? Because that would not surprise me one bit.
  12. ^ Just got shot by me < Is reloading v is going to be shot next
  13. I just cracked the hell up.
  14. Your birthday present, Mr. Murdock. Go forth and crush the enemies of the Ordo Imperialis!
  15. [15:58] Agares Tretiak: I SEE YOU. [15:59] Desereck Creeggan: I CANT SEE YOU [16:00] Agares Tretiak adjusts the windage on his scope and resights, "That's A-ok" and squeezes the trigger on his precision tooled Nechem 14.5mm anti-material rifle. [16:00] Desereck Creeggan blocks it with his nose armor. [16:00] Agares Tretiak: ... [16:00] Agares Tretiak: the shell on this thing can blast a hole through most APCs. [16:01] Desereck Creeggan: And in SL there's something called 'god modding' [16:01] Agares Tretiak: I doubt your nose armor could stop the kinetic energy, much less being fully penetrated by the armorpeircing incendiary shell. [16:01] Agares Tretiak: >:( [16:01] Desereck Creeggan: <3 [16:01] Desereck Creeggan: Whats up Agares? [16:02] Agares Tretiak checks the settings on his rifle and mutters, ".5 degrees..." [16:02] Desereck Creeggan: HEY NOW.
  16. The background is sexy, too! Though I wish it was slightly more ornate on the edges for a huge screen to have more to look at.
  17. Observe respect at all times, or I'll cut your eyes and tongue out, you ungrateful whelps. ...but seriously, respect the Imperator ok? it's not cool to interrupt, even if it seems hilarious to say something at the time.
  18. Artillery admittedly can be at times a limited role weapon. However, when it is needed, few other weapons in our arsenal can fulfill the requisite level of firepower or sheer reliability of our artillery weapons. The current sim design does limit our ability to deploy high angle of fire weapons like the Ballistae and even the Infernus mortar, however Line of Sight (LOS) capable artillery still can serve a similar ability to hold choke points and disperse large concentrations of enemies that normal infantry could not do without either incredible risk, or massed firepower. Notice, furthermore, that the nature of our Artillery designs have never really been an issue of contention with anyone we've used them against (That I am aware of). We've had other weapon systems called overpowered, but our Artillery, due to it's stationary nature and the way by which it functions is both balanced and fun to use (For those of us who've actually gotten to use them). Artillery, properly utilized as emplacement types weapons, are meant to be a force multiplier and nothing more or less than that. They don't, by themselves, when or lose assaults or defenses, but they can increase the odds in our favor, if deployed and commanded correctly, as has been evident by past experience. While originally intended to be deployed in Antesignani, I was drawing up specifications for much of the newer weapons to be far more readily accessible, provided training was made available to anyone it was given to. The new Onager would be a multi-angle weapon designed to be flexible and pack a decent sized wallop, as opposed to the super heavy support fire the Ballistae offers, or the lighter fire of the Mortar or proposed Scropion weapons. That would make the total of artillery for the Ordo at 4 artillery weapons, two (Ballistae, Onager II) of which were designed specifically with Antesigani in mind, the other two (Scorpion, Infernus) for far wider distribution. I must point out that the Autocannon system might never be finished merely because SL's operating principles may not allow it to function as intended. With all that in mind, are 4 artillery pieces such a strain or waste of our resources?
  19. I like it, in theory, at least. New background is needed. Maybe a stone wall with the Ordo cross set in it...something like that.
  20. Completely blank profiles, with newb clothing, that get into our hub past the age checker, should be banned, I think. Or informed they are, just prior to being removed. Being at least courteous, if not friendly, will make a difference.
  21. The location you're looking for is the Munitorum. Munitorum is the content development arm of the Ordo. You'll find many experienced, skilled designers, scrip[tors, and texturers there, as well as other skileld individuals. However, generally most Ordo-orientated equipment needs to be reviewed for it's uses and purposes, and approved before resources are directed to it's creation.
