  1. Let us not forget, this is the country that readily denies the Armenian genocide ever happened (much less that they were even remotely responsible for it).

Furthermore, the government tries desperately to make itself look like the best thing since sliced bread to its people. Unless you're Armenian... or an ethnic Kurd. Or a Sufi. Or Jewish...

    Yeah. Long list.

    Good coffee, though!

  2. Also recall that very serious violations will bring extreme scrutiny on those who vouched for that Civilian, from the Special Branches.

I'd also like to propose putting into effect a sort of impromptu vote for new civilians, essentially asking all those present on COM if they have objections to a person being added to the civilian group. Objections, naturally, should be related to serious concerns, not "he smells funny, lol."

  3. I feel caution is in order. A change in leadership and such, doesn't mean the people will always act the same as they did before. Leadership can make a person either more strongly linked to thier principles or turn them away from them. Either way, doubting their intents strikes me as the most secure method of treating them.

  4. To play the cynic here, I'll amke the following arguement.

If my military, having received a series of defections, the loss of one of it's primary leaders, a series of scandals, and the general disgust of the rest of the military community AND having lost it's allies...

I'd be pretty damn sure I'd try to keep my most ardent enemies off my back, and ahndle attacking the traitorous allies who dared to leave my dominion, and then bide my time and maybe gain a chance to stab my "neuteral-friendly" enemies in the back, once I attained a measure of strength again.

I doubt all outside military forces, but specifically, any not in IS. The AN is playing diplomatic footsie with the IS, possibly to avoid the crushing force IS could bring to a fight against them.

  5. The direction I could see the Ordo and other militaries heading in is lower prim, simpler equipment with the exceptions of Elite and Special Branch units. Astra and Navis require really only require simple body armor or maybe something that resembles an enclosed environment suit or flight suit. Terra naturally would slightly heavier armor. Alpha squads and the Praetorians would carry the heaviest armor, but there's also considerably fewer of them than in other branches.

In the case of Navis, a light, basic flight suit for crew members, and a slightly heavier body armor + some sort of basic environmental protection for Fleet troops is what I would see. I'll dig around and see if I can find some armor that may work.

  6. A Yuletide carol made glorious for your amusement.

Deck the hulls with rows of cannon,

Fa la la la la, la la la la.

Tis the season to be angry,

Fa la la la la, la la la la.

Don we now our powered armor,

Fa la la, la la la, la la la.

    Troll the ancient wartime litanies,

Fa la la la la, la la la la.

See the blazing Heretic 'fore us,

Fa la la la la, la la la la.

Strike the mutant and kill the xeno.

Fa la la la la, la la la la.

    Follow me in merry measure,

Fa la la la la, la la la la.

While I fell this foul traitor,

Fa la la la la, la la la la.

    Fast away the Praeda passes,

Fa la la la la, la la la la.

Hail the Imperator, ye lads and lasses,

Fa la la la la, la la la la.

  7. I remember you!

...and all those bullets we used to shoot at one another...

    However!

Now, we may shoot bullets as comrades, rather than foes!

Let us rain doom upon the doomed heads of our doomed enemies!

  8. Joseph, I remember you from way back in Nexus Prime. I thoguht you were an arrogant jerk, then, to be honest. But after joining the ORdo, I saw you were less arrogant than confident in your skills and had something to be proud of! I hope to see you around more, in the future, though! D:
