I decided to make a topic on funny work stories. Anything thats ridiculous, hilarious, or just off the wall strange that's happened to you or someone you know at work, post it here! I'll start (this one is happening right now) A woman came in today asking about who we host our site with ect. So my boss is sitting down, they're all talking about boosting site traffic then they all stop to me and ask "did you add free porn to the keywords list?" I turned and without hesitation said "Yes i did!" So the lady whos here for boosting site traffic turned and said "Well its not a bad idea"

omg omg omg i think i know that person. Its the only person ive ever muted on SL. Sarah Golem knew him and we ended up playing some stupid text based game with him, i was only checking it out for a second but he started off with the I expect you to review this game for atleast 3 hours a day. and would get all pushy about it. I thought it was really dumb and walked away, then he got all sad in ims with me back on sl and brought up that penis eating shit so i muted him.

People have had bad attitudes lately. I hear a lot of entitlement, people trying to change the rules, people deeming things arbitrary and ignoring written law. We should crack down on some of this, and unfortunately sometimes that means examples will be made. I hate to think of some of the wonderful members who are on the verge of retirement over stupid issues that are well documented in the handbook. Here's a little tip. As strong as any of you are fighting to get a rule loosened or expanded, there are an equal and opposite number of members trying to get it tightened up and enforced.

I always loved the snowy look, my black armor matches the base, and my white hair doesn't stand out. But there are always valid alternatives like some kind of gray with craters.

If only lindens could add chronus to titan without a load between them, that'd start to make SL a lot more interesting!

Set the default titan spawn in thingy beneath the terraformer then, might solve the accidental re kick.

I got this. lol. I can defend Titan all by myself now, not that i couldn't. Anyone who doesnt have draw maxed will never see me kill them. hahahahahaha

The radar breaks in combat anyway. It's only usefull on defense i find, to check whos nearby. Personally i can't stand VL's minimap, snowglobe shows yellow or green, i'm tired of squinting at a mass of 30 dots trying to tell what one's green and what ones blue in a cluster. Other than that i don't use any other VL features. maybe if it was light green and dark blue or vica-versa.

Looks epic! alot easier to direct people to the application. Wiki would be nice. I do like the flash animation, but it makes me jump when the sound is maxed at work and i don't realize early. So what Anly suggested may be a good idea.

That would be true if it were casual conversations happening, but they tend to get carried away during fighting. People trying to call directions getting cut off by people getting carried away, We should just use channels correctly. If we want to have a casual conversation about what we had for dinner, use off topic.

The estate menu script times are flawed. It can give an average while idle, but there are a few factors to consider. The hud scales in latency when the av radar picks up more people. I've had my script time jump averages between 0.21 and 0.8 just by going from checking at 3000 meters to checking in a meeting. The only extra script I have is blink on my new head, which doesn't seem to generate much, and listens solely for it's hud on some huge channel in the negatives or some such. I don't know about guns creating latency, but i know 30 people standing around and 30 people firing full auto makes a world of difference, maybe we should test script time idle and script time firing full auto.

Well you have to read into the context of the post. For example, Agares posted specs for a new computer he was going to buy, but asked "what do you all think". I responded with an answer to his question aswell as alternate configuration choices, including my own. His thread was about his hamster, and i brought up my own, but in context. If it's a thread about "hey this is what I have, i require no further input" then thats one thing, but when they leave it an open discussion there is some room for comparison.
