Sekonda Huet
If you use any non Ordo Guns [Approoved] then please, take the time to click the gun and switch your effects off. Most non-Ordo guns have their effects enabled by default and re-enable everytime you attach the gun. Things like bullet casings flying out of the auto-cannon; however nice, are extremely unnecessary and contribute to lag. Most TI's weapons purchased from the vendor will have effects enabled by default, please take the time to now disable your effects. If you don't I will bite you. Tiridates Mikadze
A wise suggestion.
Cyphre Iredell
Hm, sounds like something that was part of Armatura curriculum...
Sekonda Huet
Hm, sounds like something that was part of Armatura curriculum...We don't teach commercial weapons; Ordo Internal only.
Cyphre Iredell
Sort of an all-encompassing premise in that regard.
Inoue Katsu
This has been standard practice for ages, i guess it became so 'common' that it eventually just got forgotten.
Hunter Abrams
Since now there is the mono script bug going. I suggest that all weapons be limited to ordo issue to reduce lag. Edited April 1, 2009 by Hunter Abrams
Syl Kiranov
This is good practice, and goes double for guns that spit out actual prim casings, which cause far more physics load than the bullets themselves.Just FYI since I assume the OP is referring to it, the Assault Cannon I sell uses particle casings with an extremely low lag script... like the SCAR-L's muzzleflash, there's not really a measurable difference in script time or TD, and no physics load. However, the bullet hit effects should be turned off... please use normal damage bullets.
Sera Otoro
muzzleflash on my ordo standard issue weapons along with the commercial ones do not have an option to turn off... though even without there isnt really any difference to the performance of the script... Sekonda Huet
Might be open for new protocol discussion; and thanks for clearing that up Syl & Sera.
Agares Tretiak
I think we can get a report made by the Munitorum Council that can assess these things.
