Acheron Gloom
Already buy it, just curious? And are you entirely opposed to building one yourself?
Garma Denja
Have not purchased it yet, no. As for building it myself, I'm not, I just don't like having to order things individually and having them arrive at seperate times. Aside from that I'm given a 3 year warrenty if anything goes wrong with the computer in that time period.
Nrom Normandy
The only problem is that when problems come up, they'll more than likely want you to ship the case to them, and it'll probably be at your cost to do so. Therefore you'll be the one fixing your problems.Specs look good, and not a bad price considering you're getting it from someone who builds them and you're getting that warranty with it as well.So does this mean you'll be on base more often and we can get your flight training done for Astra? Garma Denja
Not untill December, I will get a nice handfull of cash then to get this baby (plus more since new things come out for the whole end of the year stuff). But I will be returning to attempt to become active when I fix my computer. Hopefully I will get it set to go by this weekend at the earliest. Acheron Gloom
Well, you can order everything together on newegg.com and get it in three days :pBut alright. And I can understand with the warranty.
Garma Denja
Yep, and going back to what Nrom said, I mean yea I'll probably end up paying to ship it all back to them but I'm fine with that, so long they fix the problem. I've also read and heard a lot of good reviews from Cyberpower when it comes to customer support.
Lanny Ansar
Liking the setup there. Seems a bit overkill for SL, but with the PC material that's being released at the moment, you shouldn't need a solid upgrade for specs for at least another 5 years.Personal thumbs-up on the Razer products as well. I personally run the Razer Carcharias Headset and the Diamondback 3G Gaming Mouse. Gives me 6 extra buttons that i never use.P.S, Razer has an Ergonomic Gaming Mouse named the Razer Imperator. :D
Garma Denja
Haha yep, yep! The comp isin't meant for SL alone, I enjoy doing graphic design and I know video editing, and the use of 3ds max will be used in the future because I'm currently taking it in school. Aside from that, I have been dying to play some of the games my freinds play, not to mention in 1080p :P! Yea I made sure to look at reviews on everything I want in the computer. I believe the main thing I got for the computer that was for SL was the Network: Killer™ 2100 haha! So yea not having to upgrade for the next 5 years is the plan... I'll be home on and off being as where the Marine Corp wants to send me so yea, not having to worry about upgrading my system like that is a nice plus. **edit: Oh, and I want that 17 button mouse because not having to move my left hand to press numbers on the keyboard lets me to not have to get into a specific movement type for shooters or certain types of games and pick what I want to do, same goes for mmos (which is what the mouse is really designed for). Lanny Ansar
3D Graphics. Hmm.Haven't heard much about 3ds MAX. But from what i know, a solid majority of the things i ever see that come into the light are mostly produced out of Maya, which is a Mac-only program. Otherwise, on the gaming side, you should be able to run next to anything on at least medium to high settings.Congrats man. Wish i had 2-grand or above to get some nifty shit for my partsbox. She needs a new case and better cooling.
Garma Denja
haha, yep yep, cooling is important, trying to make sure everything is cooled propperly on this one
Acheron Gloom
Maya isn't mac only, I've used it before on windows. Actually I think it only just came out for macs. Edited September 10, 2010 by Acheron Gloom
Garma Denja
Well I say 3ds Max because its what I'm being taught to use in school. If it were Maya, then Maya would be the program haha.

Vinnie Lei
That Gaming Network Card is a waste of your money. More marketing then anything else. For the bucks you save you could get an GTX570 maybe, a seperate soundcard (if yer interested in certain features usually not found on onboard solutions), or invest a bit more and get an SSD.But for the rest it looks like a mean machine! :)
Qoph
Well my computer has basically had it after just over a year and a half. It's the only thing I've ever done combat on. But now my screen is locking up every time I fire a gun and my ping is around 250 during combat. But now I'm looking to get a desktop cause I don't take my laptop around with me on campus anyways. I'd prefer to get one of the things I get a student discount on, which are these http://www.dell.com/us/eep/p/elite-most-popular-desktops?cs=2236 and this http://shoplenovo.i2.com/SEUILibrary/controller/e/upittsburgh/StdAffinityPortal/en_US/catalog.workflow:category.details?current-catalog-id=12F0696583E04D86B9B79B0FEC01C087¤t-category-id=66641808A2774F7D8D0B535325416381&ipromoID=afhph00680The most intense thing I'll be doing on these will probably be SL. I play a couple other games but SL seems to eat up my computer more than anything else. I'd like to be able to get 30 FPS during combat but I don't wanna go all out and get some super gaming system cause I really am not that big of a gamer, plus I still need to do school stuff anyways. So I was hoping all the resident computer nerds could help me pick something out. Or maybe I don't need a new computer and something else is causing the problems. I dunno, for a CS major I'm not too good with hardware. Qoph
There's not really a cap but my dad's not gonna pay more than he has to. I can probably get away with more than usual since i haven't gotten anything big for a while.

You don't need a new moniter/keyboar/mouse/speaker/dvd player. You allready have them and they can be moved over. Vesper Akiri
So, about an hour or 2 ago my computer blue screened with the error:PAGE_FAULT_IN_NON_PAGED_AREASo, as usual when I get a BSOD, I restart, wait, start up, login and then thats it computers fine. Now, this time it's decided to not boot up the bios properly at all displaying the message:Scanning BIOS image in Hard Drive.........Recovering BIOS from Hard Drive........Then blank screen and nada, nothing happens at all. This is what I've tried so far:Removing the battery for the Mobo to reset biosResitting the memory (apparently this was a fix)Turning it off and on againCleaning the computerResitting all componentsLeaving it alone for an hour and turning it on againPunching itSwearing at itNow, according to another post, its possible to put a fresh copy of this file they look for in the hard drive, but I don't have the neccesary connections to do that! Anyone know how I can go about doing this?http://www.jonocono....-in-hard-drive/Any help is appreciated~
Tsukiyomi Yuhara
Could use a tiny bit more info for this one..How far do you get in the boot cycle when the BSOD happens? What are the BSOD stop codes? (Ex: http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj101/bushpilot223/bsod-full.png)What type of Mobo do you have? From the sound of it, your mobo wants to kick the bucket. It could be a BIOS virus(They suck, and fixing them is a bunch of hell you likely don't want to deal with) or just that your mobo's bios corrupted. To put the file on your HDD without removing it, popping it into another PC and transferring it over is quite impossible. So that's what you are going to have to do. You /might/ be able to place the file on a USB drive if your mobo supports it.. Worth a shot? Also from a guy who has dealt with the Sasser worm and Pado-bot on a full network level.. I highly recommend against placing your HDD in another computer until you are certain it's not a bios virus. Trust me, you really don't want that headache. ;/
