Before I became a W-1, this was a piece of policy (or an interpretation of policy) that I very much disagreed with. Very glad to see this "change" in policy announced. An OIC, even as an NCO, needs the authority and flexibility to command the sim without such impractical hindrances.

I'd personally prefer to keep the current system, and simply don't pay me if: a) My chunk of pay significantly reduces pay to those on the point system b) I'm behind on projects or I haven't earned my keep

I <3 our ranks. D: But as a possible solution, perhaps along the lines of what some other have been saying, keep the formal names the same, and also include alternatives or equivalents. Perhaps the formal current ones could be for paperwork, and the informal ones could be for the field, if need be.

After doing some random web browsing, I came across a series of articles which talked about how birth order (older child, middle child, youngest child, etc) affects development. I found this very interesting, and I am curious as to your own takes on this. For fun, do post what child you were (older/younger siblings), and how you think it has possibly affected/strengthened/scarred you. Should be whimsical, just name anything you suspect is influenced by the presence of siblings (or lack thereof). Type: Middle child with two brothers Effect(?): Creativity, detached approach to personal conflict, "go-with-the-flow" attitude towards life in general, extreme dislike of "sheep-like" thinking, dislike of most things scheduled, extreme distaste for arguments from authority

One thing I'd like to point out: Fuhrer just means "leader" in German. I'm not saying that they're not making an allusion to Nazis (they are, blatantly), but it really does just mean "leader". /ocd

You know that scene from the Wizard of Oz, where the Good Fairy beckons the Munchkins to come out now that the Wicked Witch is gone? You know, the music plays, and tiny midget people slowly come out giggling from bushes? I imagine that is what the end of Sparta looked like, with all the banned little Munchkins coming out from the bushes hearing that Bruno is gone. Seriously folks, youtube it or something.
