  1. Actually Zrazor, Obama is in the blue quadrant, right around where Gulliver is. The chart is intended to be international, and does not actually reflect US politics all too much. Read up more about the system on the website itself. Also, what did I say about discussing politics >:| Furthermore, the upper part of the graph denotes authoritarianism, not necessarily Judeo-Christian social conservatism. Going to update my graph later, exhausted after the flight.
  2. Will update more tomorrow night perhaps, must sleep for flight.
  3. Basically, the "Political Compass" is a test that plots one's political views on the following graph: Left-Right being a scale of one's political position on economic matters (far left is communism, far right is total free market), and Up-Down is where one is insofar as personal liberties are concerned (the top being authoritarianism, the bottom being total libertarianism). I'd be interested to see where Ordo members fall on this graph to look for any trends or interesting patterns. This is the URL that goes directly to the test: http://www.politicalcompass.org/test Please, only post your actual results (it gives you a graph and coordinates when you are done). Since political debate is in general a no-no, please do not discuss/argue politics. I'll start off with my own result, and create a graph for all of Ordo as you guys post the results... So, just post your result with the coordinates they provide at the end!
  4. There is no net gravity (from earth) at the center of the earth. A chord would allow you to use your velocity to continue flying past the center of the tube. 42 minutes is correct, though you can shoot out the other side and land successfully through gravity alone, without external propulsion. Anyways, further questions: what is the air speed velocity of an unlaiden swallow?
  5. If one builds a frictionless, air resistance-less tunnel through the earth to any location and jumps into it, how long, in minutes, does it take one to come out on the other side (assuming the density of the earth is constant)? Explain how particles interact at the subatomic level.
  6. My entire body and Ethan's entire bodies were glitched messes in the raw photo (when you render 60+ people at once, SL fucks up), so I actually just photoshopped us out and then photoshopped us back in from different photo sources. When you look at it up close it looks a bit off, but you can't really tell in SL on the actual poster etc.
  7. The lights dim, our cadre of slick musicians dons sunglasses despite the night. The cool sound of our cool jazz drifts nonchalantly into the streets; the light tapping of our forward guard's snare leads to a crescendo of sound. *CRASH* the cymbal rings out, the frenzy begins. Jetpacking trumpets and blazing-gun saxophones release a torrent of notes. The mortar shells strum a bass line; the screaming Praedas in the sky accent our notes. A soloist begins his turn, rushing into the enemy fortress with an improvised flourish; with a teleport the others join in. A melody of rifle fire rings out; the explosive harmony of our ordinances flesh out our song. Our audience of enemies is overwhelmed by our lightly swung song, our parts subtle and individual, our sound united and brilliant. Then, just as suddenly as the song began, the song ends; the players fade out one by one, leaving our audience in awe. Chaaa... Chaaaa... *snaps fingers*
  8. All of you got the inworld object and textures, so here is the raw image for any other use you'd like. Yes it is giant, might want to right click->'View Image' It's not right size for most monitors as well, so I'd advise perhaps adding black bars to change the dimensions if you'd like to use this as a background.
  9. Yo Jason, I'm really happy for you, i'mma let you finish, but Agares made one of the best Kanye West references of all time. OF ALL TIME.
  10. Manually applying merits builds character!
  11. While all of this sucks, and the lack of key features is a really shitty move by IW... PC Gaming != All of Gaming Also, hate the developer, not the consoles themselves.
  12. "Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence." - Carl Sagan "Gravity is not a version of the truth. It is the truth. Anyone who doubts it is invited to jump out a tenth story window." - Richard Dawkins Rational skepticism with a healthy dose of naturalism serves as the basis for my philosophy.
  13. Congrats Des, and everyone else as well!
  14. It's like a normal birthday party, except the hooker is OUTSIDE the cake.
  15. The ending is genius. You stray so far off topic and talk about an (almost) entirely unrelated story, and then proceed to finish it off with a straight-faced, "This is the controversy of healthcare in America." Amazing.
  16. ^ Someone I don't want to be < I think, therefore I am v 3rd derivative of position with respect to time
