  1. Still getting a footing in PS2. Once things transition into less of a beta version and more of a full version, we can really push it home (Ron). Right now is the best time to fuck up, test how things work, and claw our way to a better understanding of the game. So let's not be too sensitive over how things turn out, quite yet.

As a side comment, kudos to the defense teams: you have done incredibly well. Otherwise, political shifts have really been nonexistent. The majority of the community remains embroiled in X game release, school, or a combination thereof. [18:03:29] Aryte Vesperia: .. ALSO VG JUST DIED SO LOL DIPLOMACY. [18:12:50] Aryte Vesperia: ✠ Development [18:13:05] Aryte Vesperia: All of the caseless weapon updates have been put into the lockers as of the start of the week. A few of you appear to have figured that out, as I have seen them out and about on the field. Thank you to Keller Teichmann for getting those hammered out. They are a solid inclusion to our weaponry choices. [18:13:39] Aryte Vesperia: The Retribution is coming along quite nicely. The basic flight core is operational, as is test platform for the weaponry load out HUD. Compliments to Tsume Xiao for tackling this process with such vigor—it will be incredibly pleasing to have a new tactical (and strategic) level bomber to field alongside our structure revisions. [18:14:21] Aryte Vesperia: As for our up armored tanks: they are doing just fine. The actual process of updating them is fairly swift, albeit currently a little sidelined on account of the glee of the shiny new bomber. However, I would expect both the tanks and the command baton to be released in short accord. [18:14:39] Aryte Vesperia: Further, the SPAAG missile has seen some additional battlefield testing. It proved to be extremely effective against the Merczateers earlier this week. I have gone and given the green light for their inclusion in the Autocrat. Policy wise, it is too early to tell how we shall opt to police their use. It may be possible to simply have them in arsenal for use abroad, but continue expecting guns-only air combat here. Time will tell. [18:14:55] Aryte Vesperia: In other news, we have added an NCOA merit for graduates and will be issuing it soon. [18:15:27] Aryte Vesperia: ✠ Raid Policy Enhancements [18:15:56] Aryte Vesperia: In tandem with the legion roll outs, I will be making revision to the overall process behind raid leadership. The existing tier system for leadership will remain based upon target difficulty, but I will be expanding the “types” of raids into three categories, rather than a single monolithic “this is a raid” mindset. [18:16:51] Aryte Vesperia: Currently, it is probable that you will see the inclusion of three types of deployments: • Force reconnaissance: 3-5 man teams; slated to low tiers; engage enemies, infiltrate enemy defenses, disrupt their operations. • Expeditionary: 6-10 man teams; medium tiers; engage enemies, take ground, take objectives when pertinent. • Crusade: 10+ (full asset deployments); high tiers; dominate everything. [18:17:41] Aryte Vesperia: The best way to look at this is the overarching strategy for the deployment. Tiers for authority would dictate the level of difficulty that you're permitted to attack, whereas the classification details the idea and general number of personnel involved in that assault. It opens the door to more light combat interactions, while giving folks the opportunity to build confidence. It'll free up the major raid leads from having to focus on dealing with smaller interactions for the sake of numbers. So, hypothetically, we could run a series of force recon assaults and generally get the "blood lust" factor handled, while the top tier leads plan major operations for prime time. [18:18:53] Aryte Vesperia: I have been trying to think of a way to remove the stigma of being too scared to try. I believe we should frame things in proper windows-- combat does not necessarily always need to be intended for the ultimate gain. Sometimes you shoot at enemy with the intent of simply making them bleed for a while. We run into situations where we have, often, 5 or so targets with 4 to 5 enemies on them. Habit teaches us not to head there unless we have reserves to take everything when they run for reinforcements. In some instances, that is a solid habit to follow (high tier targets). [18:19:58] Aryte Vesperia: ✠ Chronus [18:20:39] Aryte Vesperia: After much deliberation on my part, I have made the decision to go ahead and convert Chronus into a rental region. Simply, there is not enough use of the build and with the new transfusion of legions over divisions; the overarching intent with Chronus is going to erode away. It would be far better to keep major interactions centric on Titan, than to extend ourselves during a time that the community activity is a bit low. [18:21:26] Aryte Vesperia: As of September 15th, Chronus will be turned over to an Ordo renter to do with as he pleases. Please be sure to pick up anything you wish to keep, as the region will be wiped. [18:22:23] Aryte Vesperia: ✠Legions [18:22:57] Aryte Vesperia: It was originally intended that I would be over a hurdle and able to devote all of my attention to legions, however as I had mentioned on Thursday: I am stuck waiting another month to take the exam. Nevertheless, progress with the legions shall persist. I shall be hiding off in a corner for the majority of this weekend to piece together a road map of implementation and start pushing it along the way. [18:23:35] Aryte Vesperia: My ultimate goal is to get personnel split up and prepared for transition, in order to put us into a position where we can flip the switch and make the move. The down side is: there is a lot of existing policy, training material (like Schola), tests . . . etc, that all need to be scrubbed for mention of Terra/Astra. [18:24:21] Aryte Vesperia: This matter will be addressed during the officer meeting tomorrow. Hopefully we can work out a plan to get things simultaneously scrubbed. However, failing that, please bear with us as we find and work to modernize any material that makes mention of what will be an antiquated system. [18:25:56] Aryte Vesperia: That said, I look forward to getting this knocked out. More on that as it arises. [18:26:34] Aryte Vesperia: ✠ PS2 and What Not [18:27:06] Aryte Vesperia: From what feedback I have heard from the PS2 beta, it does appear that Planet Side shall find some resonance as a permanent host of an Ordo entourage. Personally, I find that especially awesome. This will serve as a good outlet for our organization as a united front. I do intend to pick up the game once it is released. Currently, I really need to avoid the beta to avoid distractions—too much to do! [18:28:59] Aryte Vesperia: From what feedback I have heard from the PS2 beta, it does appear that Planet Side shall find some resonance as a permanent host of an Ordo entourage. Personally, I find that especially awesome. This will serve as a good outlet for our organization as a united front. I do intend to pick up the game once it is released. Currently, I really need to avoid the beta to avoid distractions—too much to do! [18:29:04] Aryte Vesperia: sdfsdfsdf [18:29:06] Aryte Vesperia: This has brought up commentary about our waning raid numbers. Now, as mentioned last week, that’s certainly the product of a mixture of issues—but running amuck on PS2 has contributed. Nevertheless, I would encourage folks to relax over the notion. Certainly, please do endeavor to get SLMC raids out and keep the Ordo’s presence felt. However, do not fret too much if we are falling short of that 3 a day goal for the time being. PS2 is a breath of fresh air for most (and most folks just got their beta keys). [18:30:17] Aryte Vesperia: Ultimately, be sure Titan is defended appropriately and our presence as an SLMC is known, but do not be afraid to go out there on PS2 and explore on behalf of the Ordo. So as long as folks are making an effort on SL, I am certainly not going to harp that we are acting as a group on another platform that could, feasibly, be a good place for us to spend more time down the road. [18:31:26] Aryte Vesperia: We will take our goals and intended paths with a bit of salt until things level out and our future is clearer. The legionary structure will empower that, to be sure. Right now, I feel as if we’re largely feeling the pangs of trying to feel out the separation of “well, we only got half the raids on SL that we usually do” and “we put X man hours into PS2 as a team.” Ultimately, it is the working together as a team and waging combat together that matters. [18:32:25] Aryte Vesperia: Sure, we do not currently track PS2 raids. That’s not to say we may not in the future, hah. I do ask that we keep a sense of professionalism that can be applied in both platforms: use ART terminology and organization on PS2. Use the functionalities that can be deployed on SL and PS2. Use PS2 as an opportunity to enhance teamwork. Those ideals transcend a game platform. [18:33:48] Aryte Vesperia: At the end of the day, things will be just fine. We will get this matter sorted out once the legions are in place and we can reasonably assess how to establish our structure of involvement over multiple platforms. [18:34:08] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you. [18:34:13] Aryte Vesperia: Now go fucking party. We won. [18:34:15] Aryte Vesperia snaps his fist to his chest, presenting a brief salute. 5. HAS DISBANDED We have received confirmation from multiple sources at this point. Vanguard has bowed out. Their leader, Christoph Naumova, cites a lack of interest in SL and an intent to take VG's remnants to GW2/PS2.

    My Exam

Juuust an update, yo. Thank you to everyone who wished me well during the lead up to taking the AFOQT. Unfortunately, things did not pan out. The recruiter I was working with was predisposed of and was unable to get me access to the air base in time. The up side, I am now working with someone massively more competent (a TSGT, in comparison to an Airman). He has assured me a place in next month's session and provided me his cell phone. So, all in all, another month of studying won't kill me. Just a bit bummed that I am now back into limbo mode until October 4th, rather than over a hurdle. I'll probably poke my head in around this evenin'. I've taken the day (since I already had it off, durp) to catch up with errands and shake the emotional fracas of "TAKING TEST TOMORROW. WAIT NOPE. WAIT YES .. WAIT NOPE .. Y-- NOPE." I will start working on hammering out legions this weekend, regardless. (On the plus side, Springfield finally fucking contacted me and sent me an RMA so I can get my 1911 fixed. ;~; EXCITED TO HAVE HER BACK.)
  8. I'm a reasonable man. If we've got a couple out, I'm happy!
  9. Also wtf. When did you fight a dragon?

[18:04:13] Aryte Vesperia: To reiterate, thank you for taking the time to join us this evening. I had not intended drafting a statement so extravagant until after I complete my examination next week, but a narrative is being painted that so very clearly needs to be addressed and set straight. [18:04:58] Aryte Vesperia: It would be axiomatic to say that there is a considerable downturn in activity across the community. This is something that we have covered several times. This certainly puts an impact upon our own ability to interact abroad—additionally, consider the trifecta of events engaging us at this juncture: new popular games, the start of the new school year, and the already existing sense of SLMC degradation. The effect is clearly reflected in our raid numbers. [18:05:47] Aryte Vesperia: This is an unfortunate reality, to be sure, but it is hardly a reality that will persist indefinitely. It is a speed bump—one we will endure handily, grow from, and innovate from. [18:06:48] Aryte Vesperia: Yesterday, an individual mentioned to me that this is a period of unusual turmoil. She suggested that has a sense of anxiety over the recent events: longstanding officers bowing out, group structure revisions, and a new sim build in the works. As I said to her at the time, I shall say to you all: it excites me. I see innovation, not turmoil. [18:07:48] Aryte Vesperia: It is certainly regrettable to see members of “the old guard” erode away. Some of the individuals had been here for a long, long while. But time in service hardly makes one an infallible member of the command staff. Over the last several months, we have put an incredible amount of pressure onto the officer staff to be involved and pull the weight afforded to their positions. Some individuals have opted for the route of stepping down and honorably continue service. Others find that too difficult an option have opted to leave. I will let you draw your own conclusions, but I shall underline such with the statement that any of the individuals who left were hardly unexpected exits. [18:08:49] Aryte Vesperia: There will be a couple of more individuals reassigned before this task is complete, but the vast majority of what is remaining of the officer corps have received letters of conviction and a round of applause for their ability to weather the storm. We are making advances through what is otherwise a tempest of community bullshit. With that, let me change tones a bit. [18:10:09] Aryte Vesperia: One of the individuals who opted to leave, rather than make good on a pledge to be here until the bloody end, made some comments to me about “people feeling X way.” So, let me assuage everyone’s apparent concerns. [18:11:13] Aryte Vesperia: Now, I will not name any names. If you happen to figure it out, I would ask that you keep it to yourself. This is not a grand standing or an attempt to defame. It is simply imperative to me to ensure that this purported moral panic be put to a very strong rest. [18:12:12] Aryte Vesperia: The first matter I wish to cover is the statement that “there is nothing in Second Life to look forward to,” as such “many members of the Ordo are unhappy.” Now, to be sure, ladies and gentlemen, if such is truth I can understand that sentiment. Second Life has turned for the worse over a very long period of time. As for nothing to look forward to, I have to whole heartedly reject that. There is life left to live here on the grid. There are golden events left for us to find or foster. Whether or not you wish to be here for them, well, that is a decision that must be made personally. [18:13:25] Aryte Vesperia: The suggestion was made that the Ordo should close up shop and leave Second Life, lest we “sink to a new low, like the Mercz.” Now. I have spoken to Lurdan Huszar on a many of occasion. It is true that the Merczateers are suffering matters alike the rest of the community. Some months ago, Mr. Huszar made mention that he was fairly concerned with the state of his group and asked my advice. My advice was: persist. Yesterday, Mr. Huszar notified me that he feels like his group has leveled back out. [18:14:25] Aryte Vesperia: Friends, to be clear, the only problem the Merczateers suffered was dissolution of their will to persist. Members of their command threw in the towel. I expressed this, and was offered the statement that “the only thing keeping the Ordo together is you (Aryte). But even their loyalty and dedication to you can only last so much when they see their leader starting to crack. They know you're not enjoying this anymore.” [18:15:28] Aryte Vesperia: Huh, now let me be very clear when I say: the only thing about me that is “cracking” is the fact I am pushing extraordinarily hard to obtain a solid score on an officer exam to launch my career in a new direction. The fact that I am not fond of Second Life is a matter that has been vivid and clear for years upon years. Nevertheless, my dislike for Second Life has never impacted my desire to be here. My dislike for those abroad and this community has done quite the opposite. I have sworn it, and I will swear it again: I would never leave you all to the wolves. I would never cut and run and let this group slip by the wayside. You will be in my heart, my mind, and in my interests so as long as there is one man bearing the Ordo banner. [18:16:46] Aryte Vesperia: I am /not/ cracking. I have my bad days, my busy days, and days I just do not want to get out of bed. But we all have those days. Never. Never will I have a day so bad or so busy that it would drive me to abandon this group. [18:17:49] Aryte Vesperia: The individual then suggested that the Ordo has already lost the desire to be part of the SLMC, and that a plan must be made immediately to transverse to another game. He or she suggested that remaining here is toxic, that it is damaging morale and friendships. To that, I very clearly state: we will make arrangements to grow beyond Second Life, but not before our flag is at the pile of rubble that is the SLMC. If individuals wish to run before that day, then let them run. I will make the Ordo anew in whatever platform we so desire, when we have finished our task here. We have obligations left to complete, and frankly, it would entirely foolish for us to assume that we could simply pull up roots and move to X game. We cannot shirk our founding. We are an SLMC organization. We must be certain that we remove ourselves from this community in a manner that respects the legacy so many men fought to [18:18:29] Aryte Vesperia: Fought to build, rather. [18:19:32] Aryte Vesperia: To be certain, there will be a time that we will move on. There will be a time that SLMC is no longer sustaining our growth. But now is not that time. Now is the time that we weather this storm. Now is the time that we grow, and push for more. We will bleed the SLMC of every man and woman worth taking, finish our battles, and respectfully step out when it is clear and apparent that our dominance is absolute. Not one damn moment sooner. [18:20:26] Aryte Vesperia: To this, I was told that the Ordo could “degrade and collapse to the point where your decision to stick to it makes Ordo and you look like a laughing stock, rather than what you're aiming for.” [18:21:30] Aryte Vesperia: Pardon me, my friends, but for all the effort and intelligence out there, I can so very simply summarize my sentiments with two words: fuck off. We will only look like a laughing stock if people prematurely throw in the towel and throw away those pledges to be there until the bloody end. We only look like fools by retreating in the guise of taking the high road. But I know that is not an option for so many of you. I have already received an outpouring of reaffirmed desire to make good. Although I have never doubted it, I appreciate that so damn much. [18:22:41] Aryte Vesperia: The future is ours, if we so will it to be. This organization is not done here. Our path will inevitably be to move on. I want you all with me when we do move on. But until that day, I need you all to be convicted to making every battle the best. I need you to hold the line, push forward, and take the battle to the enemies—embrace it, not as a grim sentiment that “oh, the SLMC is going to die.” Embrace is as sense of going out with glory. [18:23:09] Aryte Vesperia: It as a sense, rather. [18:24:01] Aryte Vesperia: No time spent here is time ill spent. It isn’t like the traits, the skills, and the professionalism we build among one another in a sim won’t be valuable or transfer over to another platform. Further, we have no way to know if the SLMC is dead tomorrow, or a year from now. But you can rest assured; the Ordo will be here until the very last day. I just pray you will be here with me. And I pray that you all join me in wherever our next journey may be. [18:27:10] Aryte Vesperia: I take my exam on the 6th. After which, I should have several months of time to devote my uninterrupted attentions back to the Ordo. Time that I will spend revitalizing our core structure and enhancing our standing in the world. Hold that line for me. Take the battle to the enemy for me. 16. Good luck and have a safe school semester. Remember: good college students procrastinate and play SL; alcohol is more important than books; Minecraft is for the devil; consult Zero Itamae for Top Ramen recipes.

Status quo. General presence across other military groups remains low. Defensive interactions remain solid; however the mainstay remains loose knit enemy assaults. There has been a determined uptick toward the end of the week. On the flip side, our deployments remain at about fifty percent capacity. It would seem credited toward the difficulty in finding targets and available personnel until prime time kicks in around 5:00 PM daily. It is advised that combat leads pay close attention and take every opportunity they have to get boots on the ground abroad. [18:03:13] Tatums Foxtrot: nuzzy [18:03:21] Tatums Foxtrot: I'm titan. [18:04:28] Hollowmengitus Yifu: Hello, Ordo. Another week brings us ever closer to the reformation, something that I am, personally, excited to see. For the actual report, I have little; we are smoothly sailing into the new school year, at a pace equal to weeks before. This makes me happy, but more importantly, makes your squad leaders, peers, and friends happy as well. That is all I have for tonight. [18:04:46] Zero Itamae raises his hand [18:04:50] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you. [18:04:55] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Itamae? [18:05:06] Zero Itamae: For the Imperial Education Administration: Phenomenal job from everyone this week. Easily the highest amount of classes held since I started up as commandant. With 25 phases held for Schola, 4 Armatura classes, and 63 NCO-A modules held. Nearly had every single instructor currently on the list having held a class this week! Many thanks to Kasumi for helping get the NCO-A going so strong and for his amazing time investment to the cause of being a magistrate. [18:05:12] Zero Itamae: Ensuring we're prepared for all the upcoming changes with what time I have. Between Riff, Mikeo, and myself I'm going to make sure we have everything up to date. Will ensure at the very least that when things have a set date everything will fall into place with no conflicts. [18:05:19] Zero Itamae: For anyone interested in the IEA simply apply at: http://forums.ordoimperialis.com/index.php?/topic/13701-iea-scholaarmatura-recruitment-application/ [18:05:33] Zero Itamae: And that'll be all from the IEA. [18:05:51] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you. Very good job. [18:05:55] Aryte Vesperia: Any additional reports? [18:06:50] Aryte Vesperia: Excellent, then. Before we move on, I just wish to take a moment to honor a great man. As I am sure most of you are aware, as of today Commander Neil Armstrong has passed away. His contributions to the world speak for themselves. His accomplishments will echo into eternity, and rightfully so. Rest in peace, Commander. [18:07:43] Aryte Vesperia: Now, rather than break it down in to topics, I am going to run you all through a general update of what’s what around the Ordo. This should not take too long, so take the time after the meeting to go get a deployment out. Tomorrow is the last Sunday of the month, so we will be lockin’ it up later for our monthly escapades of random mischief (day off). [18:08:03] Aryte Vesperia: (And RLAV race.) [18:08:40] Aryte Vesperia: As a reminder, you are clear to wear casual attire during the actual day off. Be certain to maintain basic senses of order, however. We do not mind goofing off, but be sure not to push too far and into a sense of ridiculousness. [18:09:12] Aryte Vesperia: This weekend I will be finalizing appointments for the three legion command spots. After which, said commanders will begin assembling their respective core groups (some work already done there), develop their outlines, and start processing the basic idea as to how their legions will operate. Further, I will be processing the ejections of inactives this weekend to tailor the group to a more operable and realistic number. [18:10:07] Aryte Vesperia: The implementation and movement of troops (policy, etc) will start after I take my officer’s exam on September 6th. I apologize for the delay, but I can’t devote serious thought to the transition while that is looming on the horizon. However, after taking the exam I should have a significant amount of more free time (at least for a couple of months) to really wade in to ensuring this transition goes smoothly. [18:10:58] Aryte Vesperia: There remains a significant amount of questions out there about how legions will operate. Worry not; it will all be clearer before we flip the “on” switch. Currently, I am really letting the prospective command teams design as they please. I will be reviewing their plans and making a consistent norm to go off of for the future. I feel it makes more sense to allow the legion leads dig in and scrape up an idea as to how they collectively wish to see their units and then critique it in the aftermath. It will encourage more creativity, and frankly, probably uncover ideas I did not consider and would not have considered if I set strict regs prior to implementation. [18:11:39] Aryte Vesperia: On to gear. I have made the decision that the existing alpha gear will be distributed among the legions (armor), so their “tier 1” elements will get some additional swag down the line. [18:12:14] Aryte Vesperia: In other news, the Phantom is due to be delivered to me. Failing that, I’ll grab it from Nikki and have it hammered out in another direction. Further, the tank upgrades are coming along great. We have started exploring the serious use of the new AA missiles—they are totally awesome and are winning a strong acclaim for inclusion with the SPAAG. [18:12:58] Aryte Vesperia: Region wise, Mr. Hand has began developing the nick-knack portions to enhance the overall immersion and beauty of the design. Although progress is being made, I do not believe Mr. Hand has set a discernible due date on its completion. If you are present and wish to chime in, feel free to do so, Disembodied. [18:13:52] Aryte Vesperia: Otherwise, as noted on the forums, I have temporarily suspended my involvement in raids and the weekly Wednesday trainings. I will resume these, again, after the 6th. ART is still a go—so get your butts to Titan on Sunday at 5:00 PM. I will attempt to host a session tomorrow if interest is there during the free day. [18:14:38] Aryte Vesperia: All in all, keep trucking ladies and gentlemen. We have a lot of work to do and a lot of things going for us. The community is crippled, we all know that. But let’s keep moving and preparing for whatever may come our way. You all know our goal. Let’s achieve ‘em. Let’s make sure the Ordo is poised entirely strong regardless of the tempest about us. [18:15:03] Aryte Vesperia: Mmm yes. Dismissed. Quick meetin'. RLAV RACE TIME. Games as prizes. SEE SALEM TO PARTICIPATE). [18:15:05] Aryte Vesperia snaps his fist to his chest, presenting a brief salute.

  20. [18:02:25] Aryte Vesperia: A very good evening to you all! Welcome and thank you for attending. Please be sure to hold your comments and questions until provided the opportunity to speak. Interruptions affect us all. [18:02:59] Aryte Vesperia: Statistics Sworn members: 321 Cadets: 10 Applications New: 8 Accepted: 3 Denied: 5 Review: 0 Operations Defensive: 103 Offensive: 11 Allied Assistance: 0 [18:03:39] Aryte Vesperia: Diplomatic notes for this week: combat remains diversified. Opportunity has popped up among our larger foes—what we have lacked in overall deployment figures, we have made up with strong presentations against the “big names” on our list. General stagnation has continued with the onset of the school semester, however there has been a notable uptrend in activity among the Ordo personnel figures on the prime time (weekends). Continue to push for success and use our personnel when available: activity will level out as time goes on. [18:04:11] Aryte Vesperia: Unit reports this evening? [18:04:18] Xoza Tyron raises his hand for Astra. [18:04:22] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Tyron. [18:04:30] Xoza Tyron: Due to the small size of our personnel we've connected and dominated the skies together and are all proud to serve with each other. It goes without saying the recently projected changes have caused a stir in Astra just as it has in the Ordo. Though our command levels may change and we find ourselves in a slightly unfamiliar territory we know our duty to the Ordo Imperialis and many of us are looking forward to what the wind will bring us. We will serve our Legions with pride just as we've served Astra and our bonds to each other will remain unbroken. We will continue to regularly hold events and trainings for all pilots or willing participants as we have done. We will share our war stories and tactics around the campfire on the beach and we will pass our knowledge to those within our legion who seek it and continue to train those who I may call my wingman. [18:04:50] Xoza Tyron: On another note, Astra has had a few but pretty epic air battles this week and taken a few new members. The Phantom is in it's final stages and even the beta tears up enemy aircraft. The the new bomber systems are already in development and proceeding nicely. As some of you may have noticed, we now have an aircraft rezzer beta project sitting right outside our HUB. This is available for hostile use, so if you see one in the air, deploy those pilots or get some anti-air up. It is only armed with cannons, so it shouldn't be firing on ground targets, these rules are quoted to the pilot when it's rezzed. [18:05:04] Xoza Tyron: That's all from Astra. [18:05:34] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you. Next? [18:06:22] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Reisman has crashed twice now while attempting to write the Terra report. I'll uh. [18:06:25] Aryte Vesperia: Let that one pass. [18:06:26] Aryte Vesperia: Rofl. [18:07:05] Aryte Vesperia: Any additional reports this evening? [18:07:55] Aryte Vesperia: Excellent. [18:08:03] Aryte Vesperia: Well, this evening I have several significant topics to touch upon. We will be revisiting elements of last week’s meeting and expanding into new mentions. [18:08:40] Aryte Vesperia: ✠ Main Battle Rifle [18:09:13] Aryte Vesperia: Ladies and gentlemen: as announced via notice, the SCAR-L has officially taken the dusty trail toward retirement. We have officially released our new main battle rifle, the AK-12. As we have covered, this weapon will be our primary arm for all units—the Covalent SMG is now in the unlock pool, even if you formerly had the access via group authentication as an Astra member. [18:09:54] Aryte Vesperia: There are a couple of additions to note that are unique with the AK-12. First off, the AK-12 is the first weapon to follow our new ammunition conventions. Standard damage rounds shall be white, training brown, and tracers (for FTLs) will be Warsaw standard green. Over time, this will be implemented in all weaponry (with a “modern” touch) to ensure consistency in combat and add a bit more clarity to where rounds are coming from. [18:10:45] Aryte Vesperia: Further, we have increased combat options with the new MBR: rather than force feeding you a specific spread choice, you are able to make that decision for your own means. So, for those of us who enjoyed the laser accuracy of the SCAR: done. On the flip side, those who enjoy spread on their rounds: also done. [18:11:51] Aryte Vesperia: All in all, I am incredibly excited to be fielding the new rifle. To date, it has already served us well against 2142 and the Mercz. [18:12:36] Aryte Vesperia: ✠ Weaponry Upgrades [18:12:53] Aryte Vesperia: After careful assessment of the growing paradigms amount combat forces, the executive decision has been made to revisit several of our primary vehicles for critical revisions. What you can expect: more teeth and more staying power. [18:13:44] Aryte Vesperia: First off, we will be re-releasing all of the current tank models with an up-armored option, providing Ordo tankers the ability to field modified variants of our armor in situations that warrant heavier resistance against enemy AT (ex: the Combat Continent). [18:14:46] Aryte Vesperia: Secondly, we have actively engaged in development of our anti-air platforms. I am incredibly pleased with what I have seen thus far for inclusion into our Autocrat SPAAG—it is a unique, albeit powerful approach to air defense weaponry. We have spent a great deal of time attempting to find a way to deploy fire-and-forget missiles in a manner that we find reasonable. With compliment to Mr. Xiao, that manner has come to be. [18:15:49] Aryte Vesperia: Essentially, the Autocrat will be receiving a radar envelope: aircraft within the proximity will be displayed and targetable if within a certain distance. The vehicle’s pilot will then be able to select and dispense a missile on said target. Unlike other groups, it will be possible to actually maneuver away from our missiles—granting a sense of fairness. On the flip side, our missiles will not simply be fired and grab a target in mid air. The target will be fed to the missile before launch. This will greatly increase its lethality and limit the potential of destroying friendly targets. [18:17:11] Aryte Vesperia: ✠ Legion Revision [18:17:48] Aryte Vesperia: There are a few mentions I would like to share with you all regarding the revisions on our unit structure. First off, I am looking to complete a few core tasks this weekend between my daily duties: develop the foundation codex for each legion, initial appointments of legion command, determine where the remaining officers will fit in, and prepare an inactive purge list. [18:19:03] Aryte Vesperia: Beyond that, I do want to go ahead and throw some notes your way—this is largely free form thoughts from my scribbles as I plan. [18:19:55] Aryte Vesperia: Legion naming conventions have largely been decided: name centric, rather than numeric. So instead of seeing “The Ordo Imperialis – Legion #,” you will be seeing “The Ordo Imperialis – Legion Name.” Names, however, are still up in the air. There will be a theme invested, but it is still undetermined. Currently Roman Gods, Roman generals, and . . . well, my typical naming scheme (Wrath, etc) are being looked at. [18:20:49] Aryte Vesperia: That said, here are some blurbs to gander at. Please keep in mind they are not in stone: [18:21:30] Aryte Vesperia: ► Envisioned Structure [Primary] Office of the Imperator Imperial Senate (High Lords of Titan) Legions Auxiliary Schola [18:22:17] Aryte Vesperia: ► Legionary Structure Legion Commanding Officer (CO) Legion Executive Officer (XO) NCO – 1st Sergeant - Concerned with total legion matters; - Enforcement of legion customs; - Training liaison. - Raid leader. NCO – Combined Ground Forces Command - Tanks, infantry specialists, etc. NCO – Flight Command - All aircraft elements. [18:23:29] Aryte Vesperia: Legion Personnel - Unlimited CGF / Flight slots. - Minimum expectation of a % of legion involved as a pilot. - 15 as initial # of available positions in a legion. - Maximum of % of legion involved in “tier 1” designation. [18:24:08] Aryte Vesperia: Legion Requirements - No rank specifics (maybe E2). - General activity: discretionary on unit commander. - Tier 1 requirements include raid #. - To maintain membership in legion: raids, defense time, and time on base (total man hours considered over raw #). - Tier 1: deployments. - Tier 1 swag: unused officer cap to T1, addition of a crested helm possible. [18:24:54] Aryte Vesperia: ►Legion Codex Outline Legion Name Logo Table of Contents - Legion Forewords - Roster - Customs/Rules and Regulations - Squad Announcements (Public) Contained in Thread [18:25:19] Aryte Vesperia: ► Legion Naming Structure - The Ordo Imperialis – Legio (or Legion?) # Name Ideas - The Ordo Imperialis – Legio(n) X Titan - The Ordo Imperialis – Legio(n) X Malleus - The Ordo Imperialis – Legio(n) X Wrath - The Ordo Imperialis – Legio(n) X Judgment - The Ordo Imperialis – Legio(n) X Vengeance [18:25:24] Aryte Vesperia: ^ those are my themes. [18:27:15] Aryte Vesperia: ✠ Rank and Authority [18:27:39] Aryte Vesperia: I apparently neglected to craft the notes for this, on account of dozing off. So I am winging this section ol' school style. [18:29:31] Aryte Vesperia: I want to talk briefly on the value of rank and how it applies to authority. For the most part, I want to reinforce the concept that rank corresponds to the level of responsibility an individual is expected to invest in the group. [18:30:52] Aryte Vesperia: Rank is not something to hang on your shoulder and tout. If you seek rank for the sake of obtaining a sense of importance, you will find extreme difficulty in obtaining it. Typically, I look to and aim to promote individuals who are doing the job and not looking for an elevation-- folks who are interested in proactive development for the sake of benefiting the group are the folks who deserve the rank. [18:31:12] Aryte Vesperia: More often than not, I think people look at it from the perspective of "if I only had X rank, I could do this for the group." [18:31:44] Aryte Vesperia: I'd suggest it's quite the opposite. If you are acting with the interest of the organization in mind, rank will follow. [18:32:31] Aryte Vesperia: But, with rank, comes an expected return. Do not wish to be a senior NCO or an officer if your aim is leisure only. There's real work involved in upper stations. [18:33:04] Aryte Vesperia: There's real stress, real time commitments, and a necessity to be able to handle situations outside the norm for the average member. [18:35:26] Aryte Vesperia: In short: there's nothing wrong with being interested in how to improve one's self to obtain higher stations, but there are some major negative elements when someone is essentially undercutting someone else's promotion because they didn't receive one their self. [18:36:15] Aryte Vesperia: You need only ever concern yourself with . . you. If someone is promoted and you were lookin' for the same station, congratulate them and keep trucking. [18:38:06] Aryte Vesperia: That said. Thank you all for coming this evening. Since we didn't have any designated gaming time last night, I'll be happy to accommodate a couple of protected hours this evening (starting now). Unless there's a major outcry to go raid right at the moment and there is a team leader lookin' to make it happen. I'll watch the fray for a minute before making the decision. :} [18:38:12] Aryte Vesperia: Dismissed. [18:38:14] Aryte Vesperia snaps his fist to his chest, presenting a brief salute. [18:38:15] Mikeo Amiot salutes. [18:38:16] Markius Faulkner salutes "Pro Imperatore ac Imperio!" [18:38:17] Radryl Allen salutes. [18:38:20] Dantes Koronikov: /asalutes
