  1. LMFAO. GOOD USE OF THE MUSIC.
  2. [18:00:44] Aryte Vesperia: Good evening and welcome everyone. Thank you all for joining in. Please be sure to hold your comments and questions until provided the opportunity to speak. [18:01:08] Aryte Vesperia: Statistics Sworn members: 309 Cadets: 14 Applications New: 10 Accepted: 2 Denied: 3 Review: 5 Operations Defensive: 98 Offensive: 23 Allied Assistance: 0 [18:01:28] Aryte Vesperia: Diplomatic notes for this week: relative calm; no major political events outside of a few closures and appointment of personnel to the role of 2142 diplomats. First, but hardly foremost: it appears our good friends at New Rome are disbanded and no longer . . . pretending to be a group. We will miss them. Otherwise, efforts are continuing with 2142 via our diplomatic team: Burrwolf Qin, Sebris Montpark, and Firefox Breed. Initial efforts appear to be fairly positive. Thank you to the volunteers who stepped up to see this through. It definitely removes weight from my shoulders to have this handled by proxy. [18:02:06] Aryte Vesperia: Unit reports for this week? [18:02:10] Hollowmengitus Yifu raises hand for Terra. [18:02:15] Aryte Vesperia: Dr. Yifu? [18:02:32] Hollowmengitus Yifu: Hello everyone, Despite the release of Diablo III, raids have been steady all around. This pleases me greatly. Keep it up through the other major game releases and we'll be doing awesome. [18:03:01] Hollowmengitus Yifu: In other news, Evalidus has reached full squad cap. Sorry folks, you've missed the gravy train. The other squads, however, are still actively recruiting. Simply talk to a CO, XO or even squad personnel if you're interested in joining up. [18:03:23] Hollowmengitus Yifu: With the arrival of new talent in Terra, trainings and more will continue to arise. This is fantastic, as ART centric trainings allow me to run around with an M60, killing everyone! That's all for Terra this week, have a fun time playing Diablo/feeling bummed you don't have it. [18:04:08] Hollowmengitus Yifu: p.s. Riff dies too much [18:05:07] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you. Mr. Schuman? [18:05:17] Ethan Schuman: Astra had a positive week this week. Our numbers continue to increase, and as we bring more into the fold, we grow in strength. The number of cadets we've put through training have allowed us to refine our process even further. Xoza has been working on a new artificial "assistant" that cadets can consult if they have questions. We are also now able to remotely run and track cadet training exercises, allowing cadets to train even when trainers are not available. This is a big deal, as signups for Project Icarus begin tonight. I want to emphasize that this program is for ANYONE in Ordo, regardless of position, who is interested in flying fighters. You will remain in your original unit, but be enrolled in a group for the purpose of communications. [18:05:23] Ethan Schuman: That's all for Astra this week. [18:05:34] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you. [18:05:44] Aryte Vesperia: Any additional reports? [18:05:51] Radryl Allen raises his mace for Adstutia. [18:06:35] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Allen. [18:06:45] Radryl Allen: Good evening everyone, we have some news here and as said on the last meeting, Adstutia is looking for members as we are kind of low on numbers right now. [18:07:10] Radryl Allen: Well, first of all 1333 is dead. Their members went to Meggido, and honestly there are not many news right now. Well, as some of you already saw, Meggido got some new weapons, and yes, they might be a problem on the fights, but EVEN SO, it is not a reason to get any part of the defense wiped out, the ART exists for a reason, to understand how to act during the defense, have your battle buddy, keep up the medic teleports, that is something that everyone should do. No matter if it is on the defense or on the attack, we MUST keep organized, I am saying that because we had some issues during the defense. And as a side note, Shark hates gas grenades, so if you want him to pull back with his team, you know what to do. [18:07:43] Radryl Allen: Moving on, Adstutia had lost some members, consequently we had been looking for some to replace those and keep the work fast and make sure we get enough information for each week, here are the requirements: Be at least E-3 Be able to speak another language OR be able to deal with paperwork. Do not you know what we do? Just ask Radry Allen or Tonet Millar. [18:07:52] Radryl Allen: That is all from Adstutia. [18:08:08] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you kindly. [18:08:10] Agares Tretiak raises his hand. [18:08:11] Aryte Vesperia: Any additional reports? [18:08:13] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Tretiak. [18:10:11] Agares Tretiak: The Praetorian Guard has been increasing its activty thanks to several new initiatives, but we can be doing better. Hopefully, as the initiatives become implemented, we'll see a considerable rise in their presence, especially in terms of the oh so vital raid leadership. Aside from that, the handbook that will help dictate how to run the Trials nears completion, so all ye hopefuls keep your eyes open for when the announcement is made! That about covers it for the Guard. [18:10:47] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you. [18:10:50] Aryte Vesperia: Final call. [18:11:12] Aryte Vesperia: Moving on! [18:11:19] Aryte Vesperia: > Updates [18:11:28] Aryte Vesperia: The OID has been provided a strategic initiative outline to assist with their founding. As it stands, we are looking for a full recruitment swing and implementation of most elements within thirty days. Mr. Tinamou has been given the necessary discretion and powers to enact the matter as he sees fit, but will continue to work closely with me until the group is in full swing. [18:12:03] Aryte Vesperia: In other news, our new dress attire is well on its way. I have received several sneak peeks and I have to say it is gorgeous. It will be a throwback to our original dress uniform design: double rows of buttons, with heavier emphasis on splendor. We are adding a liiiittle color to the mix and forgoing the more modern approach our current set takes. I do not have any screenshots on hand with transfer permissions, so you will have to take my word for it in the meantime. What I can say is the new pieces will replace all of our existing formal pieces, including the overcoats. [18:13:05] Aryte Vesperia: The Archetypes are back in the news-- our helping builder did not realize I still had a piece in the order queue. Upon poking he is promptly getting to work on it. That will ultimately push our set to completion. Additionally, I have enlisted the assistance of a few folks to begin hammering out material sets for the pieces that require educational elements. I know there remains a lot of interest in “when” these will be rolled out. In the spirit of Blizzard, I must say: soon, but not before we’re confident they are up to par! [18:14:03] Aryte Vesperia: As a final note, several side projects are starting to round the bend. You can find them posted under the Munitorum section. Notably, Mr. Robwolf and Salem have both been added as administrative adjutants to Munitorum. You can find the first of their actions posted on the forums: they are looking for folks interested in beta testing. Head on over and sign up! [18:15:25] Aryte Vesperia: Next up: [18:15:26] Aryte Vesperia: > Combat Deployments [18:16:01] Aryte Vesperia: Despite the glory and awesome that is Diablo 3, we have maintained a strong presence over the course of this week. A big thank you to everyone who has stepped up to keep the momentum. It is phenomenal and extremely appreciated! It really gives me a lot of pride to know I can take some time to enjoy a game I have been waiting on for . . ten years or so without need to push people to get things done. We racked up way beyond my expectations for this week and had a lot of “newer” raid leaders stepping in to make an impact. [18:16:34] Aryte Vesperia: I encourage everyone to keep up that effort! Again: please see me and participate in ART if you ARE interested in raid leadership. It will make a dramatic impact and definitely empower you with proficient traits to take our teams forth against the enemy. Theory is only half the fight-- practice is what makes a difference. Practice and focussed, real feedback during the commission of battle. You will receive both during ART. [18:17:06] Object: Hello, Avatar! [18:17:15] Object: Touched. Meeting over. Enjoy the rest of your day off. We'll have a full, long, painful meeting next week. Thank you all for coming. <3 [18:19:15] Aryte Vesperia: IF YOU NEED ME I'LL BE IN TRISTAM. 5. [17:59:59] Aryte Vesperia: Good evening and welcome everyone. Thank you all for joining in. Please be sure to hold your comments and questions until provided the opportunity to speak. [18:00:11] Aryte Vesperia: Statistics Sworn members: 311 Cadets: 11 Applications New: 8 Accepted: 2 Denied: 4 Review: 2 Operations Defensive: 100 Offensive: 27 Allied Assistance: 0 [18:00:28] Aryte Vesperia: Diplomatic notes: some issues early week related to the Alliance Navy. In short, the AN isn’t fond of our use of weaponry and accused our armor of being “filtering.” This is all despite AN’s championing of “all out war” and disregards the reality of the fact none of our armor filters damage. Nevertheless, Mr. Schuman stepped up to the plate and communicated with the AN yesterday. We are exploring options to find some mutual ground for continual combat interaction, especially in the way of potentially joint developing some missile technology. [18:00:37] Aryte Vesperia: Unit reports this evening? [18:00:42] Nikki4 Aquitaine: o/ [18:00:46] Aryte Vesperia: Ms. Aquitaine. [18:00:56] Nikki4 Aquitaine: Ethan is unable to make the meeting today, the following is his weekly report. [18:01:00] Nikki4 Aquitaine: There are... SO many things to discuss from over the week. I'll try to cover the most important ones. First and foremost, the subject everyone is probably the most interested in is the AAC. As we had a lot to discuss at the last staff meeting, we weren't able to get everything ready for today. We'll be setting out all plans and designs at our next meeting, and launching the program shortly after that. [18:01:12] Nikki4 Aquitaine: The second note that applies to all Ordo members is that we've decided to take a different approach to how to increase our fighter armaments to compete with missile technology employed by many of our opponents. I spoke to Jason Backer last night, and we're going to be looking into the option of a jointly developed missile that both of our groups will deploy in an identical manner. One feature that will be included is support for scripted countermeasures that may be deployed in a reasonable manner, so we don't have to rely on bouncing missiles off into the sim border. [18:01:32] Nikki4 Aquitaine: The last thing I want to mention is Astra's performance and standards. I would be a pretty bad commander if I didn't pause for a moment to praise the pilots (and infantry, you Terra people) who participated in the massive attack on AN this week. You all showed without a doubt that not only can the Ordo take on any opponent and prevail, but that despite the friendly ribbing we give one another, Astra and Terra working together is an unstoppable force. So again, good job to all of you. In addition to my praise of your combat performance, I have implemented a list of tactical goals to be accomplished each week before the group meeting. This list will include standard features such as raids and OIC time, but will also have other requirements. For you rank and file pilots, you don't have to be concerned about task expectations. You will be briefed about anything you are responsible for doing, and all of those tasks will be a collaborative effort. For the most part, this list is an effort to better organize our di [18:01:32] Nikki4 Aquitaine: vision and ensure that quality standards are being met, in order to give you all a better experience and to enforce our duty to do the best that we can. [18:01:52] Nikki4 Aquitaine: That's all for Astra this week. [18:02:21] Hollowmengitus Yifu waves arms around for Terra. [18:02:24] Aryte Vesperia: I second his kudos. Thank you. [18:02:26] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Yifu. [18:02:35] Hollowmengitus Yifu: Terra had extremely active week; I'm very proud of what you have all accomplished but, as always, strive for even more! Give yourself a pat on the back and a piece of pie, however, you deserve it! [18:03:00] Hollowmengitus Yifu: The alpha squads all got together last night and performed an excellent training. I was fortunate enough to take part in it; a great time was had by all, and all of us learned something or other. [18:03:32] Hollowmengitus Yifu: Now, for some more good news. I have selected Carrious Darbyshire of Insidiae for promotion to E-8. You should all congratulate him on this accomplishment and give him a virtual beer. To be selected for such a high honor means a lot; expect him to lead us to even more victories in the future! [18:04:02] Hollowmengitus Yifu: For reference, Terra is only allotted three E-8s at one time. The other two I'm looking at filling as well, so work hard, lead raids and show you have leadership skills and I might just contact you next. [18:04:19] Hollowmengitus Yifu: That's all for Terra this week; have a great weekend. [18:05:02] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you. And congratulations Carrious. [18:05:13] Aryte Vesperia: Next, I have the IEA report on behalf of Zero Itamae: [18:05:22] Aryte Vesperia: "For the Imperial Education Administration: 18 Schola classes, 3 Armatura classes, and 0 Ludi class held this week. Fantastic job from our instructors this week with 4 new graduates out of Schola. Plenty left in the queue to teach and as always for those interested in being a magistrate simply apply here: http://forums.ordoimperialis.com/index.php?/topic/13701-iea-scholaarmatura-recruitment-application/ [18:05:48] Aryte Vesperia: For those that have been awarded the Imperial Historian Title and have not received the Tome, send either Aryte or myself a message and we'll sort it out. On top of that, there will be a merit awarded when you receive the title. For exemplary performance in the instruction of cadets, the full year requirement may be waived under the IEA administrations discretion. [18:06:24] Aryte Vesperia: Also actively looking for anyone to step up and help organize some classes for the NCO-Academy. Otherwise I'll just have to start pulling current instructors out for it. That's all for the IEA this week!" [18:06:30] Aryte Vesperia: Any additional reports this evening? [18:07:01] Aryte Vesperia: Ok, moving on. :} [18:07:09] Aryte Vesperia: ✠General Updates [18:07:37] Aryte Vesperia: As most would be aware (and if not aware, your HUD is broke haha), we have been using the new HUD update to great effect over the last week. Please be sure you have updated: at this point, the old HUD versions auto-deauth themselves. Moving forward, we do need to talk a little about the technology in this updated tool. Notably, the use of certain grenades: AOE, Pulse, and Plasma. The AOE grenade is, for the most part, a “medium” authorization weapon. OIC discretion prevails. Plasma, on the other hand, is purely heavy and should be reserved only for extreme circumstances. Do not use it in place of say, a Verutum. Lastly, the pulse grenade is a huge plus for our forces: it is an anti-mine grenade, with a large blast radius. Use it to clear out enemy positions before moving in. It works great against places like SH and XAF. [18:08:03] Aryte Vesperia: Secondly, the new Tyrant update is out and in the box. This update features several awesome additions: a “shotgun” type fire mode for the turret (think grape shot) and the removal of the necessity for a secondary attachment for the turret gunner. Please be sure to grab an update if you’ve not done so already. [18:08:27] Aryte Vesperia: A big shout out to Mr. Xiao, as always, for his efforts in getting these items completed and on the shelf for the Ordo. Your continual development efforts are integral to our success here and in our corporate ventures. [18:08:46] Aryte Vesperia: Next up: [18:08:53] Aryte Vesperia: ✠ Office of Imperial Doctrine [18:09:09] Aryte Vesperia: Over the last week we had a recruitment post up for the OID CO. Well. Only one individual stepped up and put their name in the hat to face the challenges the OID will present. Luckily, this individual is also quite qualified and will do the job (I am confident) to a strong level. Congratulations to Mr. Tinamou. [18:09:41] Aryte Vesperia: For the next week or so, he and I will be discussing the OID’s future. Give us some time, as my schedule is pretty stuffed. Nevertheless, in the upcoming days you should see some movement and the opportunity to apply to join the new division. As a reminder: the OID is a secondary division, as such, you may dual enlist in it (and other secondary divisions) as much as you please. [18:11:03] Aryte Vesperia: The OID will be very unique in concept and deployment. It will, however, make a dramatic impact on our outbound contact and news flow. Folks who are free thinkers and work well with limited supervision will fit in great there. [18:11:31] Aryte Vesperia: Moving right along~ [18:11:43] Aryte Vesperia: ✠ Combat Follow-up [18:12:07] Aryte Vesperia: Twenty seven raids this week. That is nearly four a day! That is an outstanding performance and you all deserve a big congratulation for it. Special mention to the raid leaders who have made it possible: without you guys, we wouldn’t have gotten anywhere. [18:13:02] Aryte Vesperia: That said, I want to take a moment to really expand upon that item: raid leadership. We have had a couple of discussions on the forums over the last week, one of which really underlined the fact that the vast majority of our raids are originated by a select number of individuals. This is entirely true. From my perspective, it is a dangerous matter. If one individual burns out (see: me after leading every Ordo raid for four years, lol), it dramatically impacts our raid performance. [18:13:42] Aryte Vesperia: We must remember that raids are our currency. Our blood. Our bread and butter. Raids are what we are here for. We do not want to be on the defensive. [18:14:55] Aryte Vesperia: We want /quality/ raids, to be sure. But unless you are willing to go out there and deploy, you will never come close to quality. You can’t have quality without attempt. Use all the materials provided: ART, authority tiers, and best practices. Use your resources—your comrades, and more experienced raid leads. I am making a big push to get the officer staff back up to 100% participation on raids and will continue to do so. My desire is to teach more folks and to shift the current experienced raid lead queue to that aim. Even the inclusion of, say, four new raid leaders would remove a huge burden from our current leads. [18:15:57] Aryte Vesperia: That said: if you want to learn, the first step is to participate in ART and lead a team. I will make sure you learn from it. It’s a great opportunity and will build real skills and real confidence. After which, I (or another experienced lead) would be more than happy to piggy back with you on your first few raids to ensure you have all the elements hammered out. [18:16:41] Aryte Vesperia: Raid leadership is a very dynamic, rewarding thing. It is also a quick ticket to high levels of success internally. Don’t miss that opportunity, especially with so many people looking to support your growth and desire to learn proper leadership skills. [18:17:33] Aryte Vesperia: ✠ Keynote [18:18:00] Aryte Vesperia: The preliminary work on the sim outline is done. The basic idea is sketched out and the concepts built. Next, I am going to be sending a PM to all of the donors and linking them to the necessary materials. I endeavor to get this knocked out by the end of the weekend. [18:18:55] Aryte Vesperia: After giving a couple of days to discuss and modify to their suggestions, I will be seeking out builders and begin collecting bids. Upon making a builder selection, I will turn the project over to them and set up an appropriate payment schedule tiered to their level of creation and progress on the region. [18:20:04] Aryte Vesperia: We will then make changes here on Titan, clearing up parts of the build to ensure we have the prims to front load most of the construction. At this point, it is critical that ALL personnel do not disturb whoever our builder is. I promise you I am very keen on ensuring they are uninterrupted. Build suggestions, critiques (etc) go through me and me alone. As such, if I get word the builder is being bothered, I will be rather displeased. [18:20:38] Aryte Vesperia: We are close, ladies and gentlemen, close to getting this project into full run. Timed with summer, I can promise that we will be seeing a huge turn up of activity beyond our current levels. That said, it is critical that you all maintain and champion our programs / exhibit the excellence involved with the Ordo. As part, I’d highly encourage you to give this a read when you get a chance: http://forums.ordoimperialis.com/index.php?/topic/17222-accountability-process-notes-09may12/ [18:21:30] Aryte Vesperia: Further, stick to your guns: I say it all the time and I mean it—use the materials we’ve provided and the instructions given. We have a strong foundation here. The group should and will run with 300 people in the same manner and unity as if it were only 30 people. That is why we have structure and policy. Confide in it. [18:22:25] Aryte Vesperia: I, for one, am very excited for what summer means for us. We will be sitting very pretty for a great turn out. A new sim build is always a huge thing for us—so is summer. I implore you all to make the most of it. Let’s make this summer our very best yet. [18:23:47] Aryte Vesperia: Rushed along nicely. So, in closing: promotions will be up tomorrow. Otherwise, I will be back in a couple hours. Off to dinner and all that. Thank you all for coming and have a great evening. [18:23:55] Aryte Vesperia: Dismissed. :} Go raid, yo. [18:23:55] Aryte Vesperia snaps his fist to his chest, presenting a brief salute. [18:23:59] Liam Macalroy stands at attention and salutes "Ehre und Ruhm im Namen des Imperator!"
  6. Also, that is awesome Disraeli.
  7. With six years of experience under my belt, I whole heartedly reject your perspective and would say worry of failure is a prime reason why someone shouldn't lead raids. If you are scared of losing, you will lose. If you refuse to accept anything less than excellence, choose your targets, reserve difficult assaults to the folks with the authority to lead, use the practices we enforce and use all of your resources, the probability of coming home with a loss is pretty slim. If you come home with a loss, you are certainly responsible. Welcome to being adult and accountable. But if you can demonstrate to me you used your resources and did everything you were supposed to do: no problem. If you half assed it and the quality of your raid was shit: yeah, I'll be mad.
  8. Weren't you the dude who rezzed the badass disco stage? I like you.
  9. Ethan Schuman and Agares Tretiak for stepping up to the plate.
  10. Name some times on the weekend and I'll make it work for you! I'll sacrifice my upcoming Diablo 3 time. LOL.
  11. It didn't seem to be humor, Tsume. I took it in the manner it was presented. But there was a string of officers going "yeah I agree," and a series of NCOs going "I want to learn." That was all quite positive and nice to see. So I am not sure if perhaps you simply read things in a different manner, or there's an underlying misunderstanding here? Whatever it may be, both of you take a step back and reassess. There's no room for personal jabs on either side. But the topic Carrious brought forth is quite valid and worthy of note.
  12. I'd encourage you to read the Tribunus assignments and realize that concessions have been to accommodate individuals in positions that warrant a more administrative role. Namely, pretty much everyone you listed. I really do not see why you are making a scene over this? Really diluting the whole post and string of agreement. Additionally, kind of blatantly ignored the fact I confirmed his perspective to be truth. If you threaten to "hard code" members of my group out of gear, we'll find new scripters. Your place is not to make that decision. You are making this into a personal matter when it had nothing to do with you.
  13. If people like Carrious (and like three others) didn't lead raids, we'd never be anywhere close to our goal of 3 a day. This is a repeated pattern of a select couple of people bearing the weight of what should be shared between dozens. Additionally, the majority of his post was pointed to the officer staff. Which, I can confirm, does not pull its raid weight up to the standards I have set. Although I can appreciate your intent, you are completely off, Tsume.

  15. Do: provide realistic feedback and detail opportunities for improvement/areas of success. Don't: simply pump out five in ten minutes that simply show every field "good! excellent! awesome!" The intent of a PRF is to provide FEEDBACK and to assist members in growth. If you're simply using them to mine for QP and put 0 thought into it, I will reject them henceforth. Then you can explain to your member why they didn't get their QP.

  17. [18:00:18] Aryte Vesperia: Good evening and welcome everyone. Thank you all for joining in. Please be sure to hold your comments and questions until provided the opportunity to speak. [18:01:06] Aryte Vesperia: Statistics Sworn members: 310 Cadets: 9 Applications New: 8 Accepted: 2 Denied: 3 Review: 3 Operations Defensive: 108 Offensive: 22 Allied Assistance: 0 [18:01:51] Aryte Vesperia: Diplomatic notes: all is well in the land of Second Life. No notable changes outside of kindling arrangements of mutual destruction with 2142. Albeit friendly destruction. Otherwise we have seen a relatively dry period—to be expected with most folks in their actual final exam or last couple of weeks of school before summer. [18:02:54] Aryte Vesperia: Divisional reports? [18:02:55] Hollowmengitus Yifu raises hand. [18:03:03] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Yifu. [18:03:09] Hollowmengitus Yifu: Hi. Terra had an impressive week in terms of raids. Keep up the momentum! [18:03:28] Hollowmengitus Yifu: Invictus gets major kudos to one member, Riff Petrov, for partaking in 11 solid raids. Good job, Riff! [18:03:56] Hollowmengitus Yifu: In other news, Evalidus had trainings and gear development get underway this week; for more details, look to the Munitorum threads. It's going to be a "blast." Huehuehuehue... [18:04:27] Hollowmengitus Yifu: Insidiae is cleaning house, shedding itself of inactive members while gaining back old members. Keep it up. [18:04:48] Hollowmengitus Yifu: Praescius is getting it's members back from LOA, hopefully raids pick back up! [18:04:56] Hollowmengitus Yifu: For the closer tonight, a reminder: tomorrow is meeting day. For Terra Staff, I will be holding tiered meetings; all of you have replied so far on the forums, so I expect to see you there! Prep yourselves for anything. That's all for Terra this week. [18:05:44] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you. Mr. Schuman? [18:05:55] Ethan Schuman: At this point during the meeting, I usually review what has happened in Astra over the past week, and I shall do that in brief. However, I also want to talk about what's going to happen in the future. Our activity levels have been down drastically in terms of offensives. Astra staff has considered the issue, and we have come up with a few possible approaches to increase interest, as we believe that general boredom is at the root of this problem. The first of these measures is a profile and achievement system that allows for activity tracking viewable by all. An accurate comparison would be to Battlefield 3's Battlelog. Another avenue we intend to explore will consist of placing small teams (two or three people) together to engage in a sort of competition, where they will have a set list of objectives and try to outdo their teammates. This will not cause rivalries, as the team itself is responsible for the achievement of goals, and either all members will receive the designated reward, or none of them will. [18:06:06] Ethan Schuman: THIS NEXT PART APPLIES TO ALL MEMBERS OF THE ORDO, SO BE SURE YOU READ IT! [18:06:21] Ethan Schuman: During the Praefectus meeting with Aryte today, an idea entered my mind. With his approval and that of Hollow, I've spoken with the rest of my staff and they feel it is worth exploring. I won't go into details at this moment, but if any of you are curious about flying a fighter in active combat without having to transfer out of Terra, please contact myself or Disembodied to voice your interest. I'd like to get an idea of what kind of numbers we'd be looking at. [18:06:42] Ethan Schuman: That's all for Astra this week. [18:08:41] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you. Any additional reports? [18:09:24] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you. Moving on. [18:10:03] Aryte Vesperia: ✠ Preparations [18:10:43] Aryte Vesperia: Notably, we are preparing to make several additions to the officer corps. In addition to which, the Guard will be starting its selection process. Per Agares, he requests that I disseminate the following: [18:10:52] Aryte Vesperia: "All future applicants for the Praetorian Guard must have passed ART as a prerequisite before being considered. This is part of the upcoming, tightened Trial requirements, so make sure to pass ART, if you're interested in joining the Guard in the future." [18:12:00] Aryte Vesperia: No sweat, right? ART is mandatory as is. :}! Riiiiight? Remember to involve ART in all training practices and utilize the provided opportunities to qualify. [18:13:06] Aryte Vesperia: Tier 3 is an excellent mark of combat prowess. It is an especially important denotation for any member. I can tell you with certainty that ART will improve your leadership, combat, and team skills. Embrace and love it. Or else. [18:14:06] Aryte Vesperia: Moving on. [18:14:11] Aryte Vesperia: ✠ OID [18:14:58] Aryte Vesperia: The Office of Imperial Doctrine will be recruiting for it's primary command positions. A post will be up by the end of the night with application details. The OID's full details can be found: http://forums.ordoimperialis.com/index.php?/topic/16788-ordo-policy-office-of-imperial-doctrine-27mar12/ [18:15:52] Aryte Vesperia: It will be a very unique division. Challenging, but highly rewarding. It will be in the hands of the CO of the OID to set the theme and effectively market the Ordo. [18:17:03] Aryte Vesperia: As the CO, you will be responsible for setting the pace for the division. It will be your legacy to create-- especially as the division is brand new. Folks with a proactive mindset and feel up to designing major elements of the organization will find the OID a perfect place. [18:18:09] Aryte Vesperia: As a side note, it will be a great chance for folks who are looking for command experience. I will be providing feedback directly to the OID CO to ensure the unit's success. [18:18:39] Aryte Vesperia: Next up: [18:18:46] Aryte Vesperia: ✠ O-5 Strategic Initiatives [18:19:24] Aryte Vesperia: As Mr. Schuman hinted at, I have been making a major push from the upper echelon of the Ordo by setting strategic plans for all of the O-5's. Terra has already received its outline and Mr. Yifu is hard at work. [18:19:54] Hollowmengitus Yifu: mm~ [18:20:11] Aryte Vesperia: The intent here is to reshape the efforts of the O-5's out of maintenance mode and put it back to proactive improvement mode. Maintenance of a division should primarily fall to the junior officers to free up the O-5's for grand schemes. [18:21:04] Aryte Vesperia: I am incredibly excited for this. It really will benefit the group and reform the approach we've been taking-- just in time our summer months. [18:22:44] Aryte Vesperia: With upcoming appointments, there's no time better to be reshuffling the tone to a more progressive atmosphere. In short, if you want to be an officer (or are one), expert more feedback from your O-5. :J And more work. [18:23:56] Aryte Vesperia: I'd quite like to see 350 sworn members a reality by August. Coupled with the sim rebuild, the O-5's initiatives will certainly push us in that direction. [18:24:37] Aryte Vesperia: Next up! [18:24:49] Aryte Vesperia: ✠ Keynote: Region (Part Two) [18:27:00] Aryte Vesperia: I am working on the basic outline of the region's image and layout. Thus far, the horizon, ground level, and "upper level" (ship/station) portions are mapped out . . relatively. I say relatively because I am mapping them out and I'm about as artistic as a dead goldfish. But it gets the point across. [18:28:21] Aryte Vesperia: After finishing the outlines, I will be compiling reference materials. We are definitely looking to a sort of neo-Roman . . dark gothic space age-y. [18:28:39] Aryte Vesperia: Very clean, Imperialistic, metal. [18:29:35] Aryte Vesperia: After which, I will be presenting the details to the donors to receive feedback. Once a consensus is given, the process of shopping for builders will begin. We'll be taking this from a bidder vantage. In short: quality and price. [18:30:28] Aryte Vesperia: Thereafter, we'll break out the pickaxes and shape the ground level to conserve prims. Annnnd then the rebuild will begin. [18:32:40] Abranimations Mocap Professional Male AO: Touched. [18:32:42] Abranimations Mocap Professional Male AO: Touched. [18:32:54] Aryte Vesperia: Now to do something I haven't done in a while. [18:32:58] Aryte Vesperia: Questions? :} [18:33:16] Larry Furlough raises his hand [18:33:19] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Furlough. [18:33:20] Abranimations Mocap Professional Male AO: Touched. [18:33:24] Abranimations Mocap Professional Male AO: Touched. [18:33:31] Abranimations Mocap Professional Male AO: Touched. [18:33:51] Abranimations Mocap Professional Male AO: Touched. [18:34:34] Larry Furlough: How long were you going to give the builder to finish the sim? As in, a month, two months.... Two days. [18:34:49] thatguy Andel raises a hand. [18:35:46] Aryte Vesperia: Well. Two days would be awesome, but unrealistic. It'll be discussed with the builder based upon a series of elements: price, detail, scale. [18:35:59] Larry Furlough nods. [18:36:18] Azimuth Summerwind raises hand. [18:36:21] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Andel? [18:36:25] Ice Karsin raises a hand. [18:36:28] thatguy Andel: how many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop? [18:36:49] Zerowinged Vasiliev facepalms... [18:36:56] Aryte Vesperia: As a reminder, asking stupid questions is an excellent way to really make me mad. [18:37:11] Dresden Xaris raises a hand. [18:37:14] Aryte Vesperia: As I do have better things to do than stand here. :J Thanks Mr. Andel. [18:37:22] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Summerwind? [18:37:43] Kurama Bingyi sloooowly brings his hand back down. [18:38:17] Azimuth Summerwind: I remember reading in the forums a while back that those with high donation amounts would likely get some form of office or permanent quarters. If someone is offered this particular option, could they one, decline the offer, or two, request that something else take it's place? [18:38:51] Aryte Vesperia: It'll be up for discussion. I will attempt to accommodate reasonably. [18:38:57] Azimuth Summerwind: Alright, thanks. [18:39:14] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Xaris? [18:40:23] Dresden Xaris: Will the sim be a complete mesh job? Or will it be a prim/Mesh hybrid due to mesh still being a bit unreliable for some viewers. [18:40:52] Aryte Vesperia: It will be whatever combination of modes the builder deems necessary. I'm sure some things will be prim or sculpted. But the goal is mesh heavy. [18:41:09] Ice Karsin raises his other hand. [18:41:28] Aryte Vesperia: All right. Yes, Mr. Karsin? [18:42:08] Ice Karsin: Are there any plans for major changes to the Titan League's role in the future, especially considering the new sim-build and restructuring that will be occuring? [18:42:35] Ookamiwulf Lemton: sling [18:42:44] Aryte Vesperia: That's a great question. Yes, actually. I am interested in really pushing the role of CDF/TL into a more functional mode. [18:43:57] Ratchet Exonar raises paw [18:44:13] Aryte Vesperia: . [18:44:15] Aryte Vesperia: The region's ground level will be fairly urban in concept . . or industrial. Whatever the case, I could see the CDF taking on a sort of "RP" aspect of a PDF/security bureau. Sort of the "local" enforcement, whereas the Ordo proper would be the big bad military. [18:44:49] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Exonar? [18:44:49] Ice Karsin: Excellent. [18:45:14] Ratchet Exonar: just asking but say we do get the big ship, will it be flyable? [18:46:01] Aryte Vesperia: Haha. IF it was a big ship, it'd be sim sized. [18:46:05] Aryte Vesperia: So no, it wouldn't be flyable. [18:46:11] Aryte Vesperia: There'd be no where to fly it. [18:46:19] Ratchet Exonar: it could move up and down [18:46:35] Aryte Vesperia: That would create huge logistical issues in prims inside of it, etc. [18:46:39] Aryte Vesperia: And be rather SL unrealistic. [18:46:52] Ratchet Exonar: alright [18:47:03] Aryte Vesperia: Any last questions? And Ethan host your own meeting, ffs. [18:47:18] Azimuth Summerwind raises hand again. [18:47:31] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Summerwind. [18:49:16] Azimuth Summerwind: Last minute question. As it stands, I believe that the Enforcers have an instant kill weapon that can be used only on Titan. IF we got a new ship, could we perhaps put this sort of weapon in the ship part of the build, instead of in the Enforcer? [18:50:44] Aryte Vesperia: I don't see a reason to remove that capability from the Enforcer. It makes fair sense that a capital vessel is able to make Chaos HP filtering tanks cry. [18:51:13] Aryte Vesperia: I'd rather just add a bigger one on the other thing. :J [18:51:23] Azimuth Summerwind: I support this idea. :D Thanks. [18:52:44] Aryte Vesperia: Annnd on that note. Done! Promotions will be up tomorrow. Go raid and pillage. Yay! [18:52:46] Aryte Vesperia snaps his fist to his chest, presenting a brief salute. [18:52:48] Liam Macalroy stands at attention and salutes "Ehre und Ruhm im Namen des Imperator!"
  18. I NEED A SET. GOING TO BATTLE IN JUNE.
  19. Seriously: THANK YOU. Because of your generosity and willingness to give to the betterment of this group, we are effectively way ahead of schedule and double funded for our sim project. I expected the Ordo would come through and provide the funding-- I knew you all were committed, but in 48 hours we were completely funded. I am beyond impressed. I seriously just can't get over how quickly everyone chipped in and said "fuck waiting, let's get this going now." You all deserve a major pat on the back and a round of applause. Rest assured, I will be damned sure you all receive a new build that is beyond epic quality and provides a presence unmatched for the next five years of our existence.
