I'll write my two cents after my paper of doom.

The Ordo Imperialis: Science of Saluting Saluting is, admittedly, one of the simplest and most basic forms of military demeanor. Although base, the practice within itself is also one of the most important foundations for proper displays of adherence to protocol. A salute is much more than a random gesture, or a quirky one liner to spam at the end of meetings: it is an active, cognizant display of professionalism, honor, and respect. The birthplace of the tradition is not entirely known. One theory is that saluting began during the medieval ages, when armored warriors would raise their visors upon approaching another soldier as a sign of reverence and good will. Another theory is that the Romans developed the concept, as it was considered respectful of legionnaires to shade their eyes from the radiance of their superior officers. Regardless of its start historically, saluting within the Ordo Imperialis is an expected practice, particularly as a demonstration of formality and brotherhood. For those of us in college, it is probably obvious as to why . . It's down to the wire now, with only a week or so until the semester is done. Personally, what that means to me is: several massive term papers, and a project due. As such, activity may be a little lower until the semester ends. It should be expected. There will, more than likely, be a couple days coming up where Titan will be mysteriously celebrating off the wall holidays. These are essentially "Aryte really needs quiet time to do papers" holidays. Enjoy them, keep out of trouble, and look forward to all the fun we'll be having come December 13th. Business will be conducted as usual otherwise. Albeit, with a lot more stress on it. Haha.

There is a minimum review time for all applicants: 24 hours. Even if you are vouching for the individual, they must undergo the mandatory twenty-four hour holding period. Do not pester the recruiters.

For a long time now, the Iron Symphony treaty group has been limited to the high command of the individual groups. This will be changing as of 11/30/08. The group "Faces of the Iron Symphony" is now live and active. This group will include all members of the groups, from all Iron Symphony organizations. Regulations on part of the Ordo Imperialis will be announced within the next couple of days, detailing my expectations for you all while interacting on that channel. I assume it will be agonizing. Buuut . . we'll work with it, ha ha.

I've noticed that a lot of folks have them in random places. To set the record straight, they are to be placed underneath the Terra logo on your shoulder. New versions of the armor already have a space to do it.

As I understand, the Orks are currently developing mortars. Be aware and prepare for further advancement in their weaponry. Thus far, they've employed some pretty questionable junk. If they intend to mortar us, they may be opening themselves up for some pain (if they're too close to the spawn). Just be aware and prepared.
