This set of figures was constructed and painted for nearly 45 years and they total at 25,000 man strength. That is 2 and a half Napoleonic Divisions of troops, complete with artillery, cavalry and officer corps along with medical staff. One lesson learned is that Nappoleans enemies apparently studied his methods by this time, and then applied them effectively to his demise. (he initially attempted to cross the anglo-allies supply lines via indirect approach to dislocate their forces, only to have the Prussians attack with their own movement to the french rear.) Tactics don't change much. Application of tactics change drastically due to technology improvements, land features, medium they are engaged in(ie land, water, air etc.) ~The true military genius, after planning, and observing the battle can visualize the exact pressure points, that will force the enemy to do what he doesn't want to, and know where his own win's and losses will occur. I'd wager it costed him lots of $$$ to boot buying (and continuing to buy) materials to complete his project over the 45 year time span.However, I suppose the $500 000 is a hefty lump sum he could invest in his retirement from whatever he's doing with. Hitting a baseball is actually some what difficult on the spectrum of things you can do with eye hand coordination, as it requires some other factors as well.
