    Gaming Keyboard

Taking apart a Logitech in order to clean underneath the keys took me about 45 minutes - just to get the bottom exposed without damaging the LCD screen. All told it was about a two - three hour process, which is WAY too long for someone who cleans rather obsessively. :[

I'm a little wary of Logitechs just on account of how hard they are to clean (and it's half the reason I'm looking at the Corsair K60/90). Thanks for the input, though, I'm going to keep researching and getting one on Monday. :]

    Gaming Keyboard

I got a ton of gift cards this year for Christmas, a couple specifically from the best computer store in town (Memory Express, for other Canadians). Key among the items I want is a new keyboard - my first-gen G15 is really showing its age after a few years of pretty thorough and repeated use (the LCD is burnt in and unreadable at this point). I'm already getting a new headset. Anyone know of any reliable brands, or want to make a recommendation? Posted with iPhone
  4. Spending my downtime at work scouting out stores for my metric ton of gift cards. :l

  5. Tons of nice shirts, a Tassimo coffee maker, cook book, and enough gift cards to double my wallet's thickness.
  6. Huttser: mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Keller: Riff get off Huttser's keyboard. Keller: >:[ Huttser: LOL Huttser: mmmmm all over it Huttser: ... Keller: ...
  7. They increased the respawn timer to 4 hours and added a 'feature' where you can pay them money in order to respawn immediately - and now your cash items destroy themselves upon death. I'm so glad I didn't put a penny into this, rofl.
  8. I'll be setting up the in-game clan later this week. That will make finding folks much easier. If there's enough interest I may go for a server as well (only $20 a month).
  9. The last couple weeks have added; New Helmets - FOXCAT SR7 - Heavy armor 'scanner' helmet - high HP and HRV recharge, low armor and HRV pool. - Allied R7 Sniper - Light armor 'scanner' helmet - lower HP, no armor, but fastest HRV recharge and largest HRV pool available. New Receivers - Anti-Materiel Rifle - A single-shot sniper rifle which deals 800 damage. Painfully slow reload and slight spread. - Breech-Loaded Pistol - Single-shot pistol with explosive, flare, and beehive rounds. - Bullpup Full Auto - A full-auto variant of the burst rifle. Lower RPM, but more stable then other automatic rifles. Essentially a more short-medium ranged assault rifle. New Weapon Parts - Infrared Scopes - A pair of IR scopes available on every weapon. - Magnum Ammo - Increases damage and range, but has accuracy and recoil penalties. Can't break damage caps on receivers, at least. New Gear - Explosive Tomahawk - Throw it, it turns into a remote-detoned HE Grenade. - Stun Shuriken - Throwable shuriken which stun and damage targets. - Mobile Decoy - Throw it down, and your decoy runs in that direction. - Hardsuit Decoy - Totally pointless.
  10. All of the above; Make a beeline for Arizona.
  11. Anyone wanting to play it, or that already has it installed; intelgamingpromo.com Fill it out, get a free exclusive camo, helmet, and two good premade weapons. It's a free starter kit basically.
  12. Those look pretty cool. :} (didn't realize this was offline and not in general discussion D: )
  13. It's a collapsible sword, ala Corvo's sword. Think Crowbar with a lunge.
  14. A major update's coming out tonight and next Tuesday, being rolled out in two parts; 1 new map (total of 10 now) 2 new heroes (total of seven) 2 new primary receivers 1 new secondary (breach-loaded pistol) 6+ new gear items (remote mine, katana, armor plates) 2+ new armor items That is if this is all on time. :l
  15. Just noticed a faction with Canadian patches and CADPAT. JTF2, woooo~
  16. I held off on assaulting the alien base until I had Lasers and Titan armor (and Light Plasma Rifles). It was a cakewalk. Now every mission is 100% Mutons / Heavy Floaters / Sectopods. My six Colonels are never all healthy at the same time. 8c
  17. That was my mistake. If you do the tutorial, it scripts A LOT of the campaign very differently, and namely it seems to tie enemy appearances into your Current Objective. Once you finish researching the Outsider, the game starts throwing a lot at you. And you can do that in under a month, well under the time you need for decent armor and weapon research.
  18. It looks like a new version of Freelancer. Looks kewl. :d
  19. The tutorial scripts the entire first mission and the start of the second, plus it packs in cinematics in between missions, tells you what your next step should be, and occasionally forces research projects. If you're too good at the game and capture aliens as soon as possible, it'll trigger other races to appear early, which means fun stuff like Berzerkers and Mutons before you even have a laser pistol.
  20. It's a very fun game, but if you want to play it in typical XCOM fashion, disable the tutorial. I made a game with it enabled, and it railroads you through / doesn't give you as much freedom. I was too competent so now my guys are stuck fighting Mutons with regular level-1 weapons and armor.
  21. Mexi-Guile isn't having any of this extraterrestrial alien bullshit. (he killed five aliens single-handedly, not his fault they all warped in right in front of his LMG)
  22. The one thing that kept me from getting into Day Z was the Arma mechanics. It was pretty disorienting for me, so I'd actually take a look at WarZ.

...You're actually right. Arbalest has this. It's alright, but without that awesome lighting from Dark Souls it isn't the same. :<
