  1. They'll have a fairly wide variety of sights. :] (Far left are going to be Aimpoint-style sights, once I settle on which models to use as references :l )
  2. Someone called me a noob in BL:R. This happened.
  3. The one in that pic is actually... based off of the G36. It's just missing vents / picatinny.
  4. P90 WIP F2000 WIP I want to call this an ACR, but it's got a completely different handguard. :l Not shown that I've worked on at some point tonight (dropbox hasn't sync'd them >8c)... Mac-10 XM8 M&P-15 Para-AUG I get more building done at work then I do at home. ;_;

    FC: 2012

    I will be here in the office being jealous. ;_;
  6. The camera 'zooms in' whenever you're aiming, hence the odd angle shot above. Cinematic moments, like firing, or losing agents, are all zoomed in on. Normally it's in a top-down / isometric view like the classic game. Interception and 'world management' is in realtime, but the tactical battles are turn-based.
  7. I'm an oldie-TBS junkie. XCOM: UFO Defense was the first game I got into as a kid. It was the first genuinely scary game I played, and the only one I could play on a regular basis (parents were ok with it because the agents didn't explode.) Awhile back, 2k Games announced their... 1950s remake. It was a pretty big slap in the face to what made XCOM great - no permadeath, FPS Mass Effect knock-off which kept absolutely nothing from the original series. But a week ago, Firaxis came out and announced they were making their own XCOM game. A re-imagining of the classic original. While it doesn't handle the same as the original, it looks fancy; I'll post more once I'm back from work. I'm just excited ;[
  8. Sentinel Zero-G is the specific model I use. I got it for $70 CAD (came with a game too :B) and it runs like a charm.
  9. $50 cash $75 gift card for an entire shopping mall Golf bag, cleats, tees, balls, gloves* Giant mousepad Case of Innis & Guhn beer 50,000 pairs of socks A brick of fudge as big as my head (I will need to take a picture. I can't comprehend finishing it in my lifetime) *- folks reasoned that now that I'm out of school and work in an office, I will need to golf to further my career.
  10. Flamethrowers are still very powerful, but the range isn't as bad as it was the first day I played. It's great for the CQC maps (and for toasting lone hardsuits) but it's not a freakish abomination. Also, most of the teamwork-related unlocks ironically are some of the hardest to get, and they cost alot. A gun part costs 500. A backpack costs 5,000. EDIT: Beta was extended until January 15th, 2012.
  11. P2W is currently disabled - the guys you're running against are either exploiters or no-lifers who've grinded 20 - 30 levels in a week. The former simply slap electro mags into everything (which are glitched, and deal 120% damage and impair vision / aiming on everything instead of just hardsuits), and might just camp by a depot to spam specialized Stingers. The latter are fearsome because they have access to all of the blinged out gear.
  12. Play Domination. I averaged 350 - 400 GP, and peaked at around 790 GP in a single match (you get 0.25 or so for every point your team scores in Domination - which caps at 1000, and even a crappy team will get 400).
  13. http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/595830595964895606/658BED7553BDF0865580240075FB017946DFB6EA/ I look so ridiculous, but it's so powerful.
  14. http://www.alienwarearena.com/giveaway/blacklight-retribution-beta-key-giveaway/ The Phase 3 Beta is only open for a couple more days, but here's a free shot to get in. :d I got my own key, and while I had issues at first (using Nvidia? Update drivers, and if you have issues, disable Dx11) it's an incredibly fun game once you're going. That said I'm not sure why my compact bullpup is a better sniper rifle then the actual sniper rifle...
  15. MW2 as Shooter of the Year. I would've honestly given it to Gears over them. I mean MW3. Also cutting off Miyamoto, Gabe being Gabe, the most annoying host ever, and Kojima coming out at the very end to apologize for the show. The latter was the only saving grace. :l
  16. An RTS on the BF3 engine. :Q________
  17. I actually installed it once just to play it. It is, surprisingly, awesome. Your roommates will think it's the worst thing ever.
  18. This particular board is simply extremely dense. :l EDIT: Even now Christoph is apparently trying to brush this under the rug as "1000 said he got permission". Considering the development team themselves haven't been able to contact the head for nearly three months, and that the acting head has never been contacted about this, Chris just trying to cover his ass. Poorly.
  19. By signing up for and completing the mesh tutorial process, you basically sign an additional ToS with Linden Labs which means you can't even try to use them as a meatshield if you - unknowingly or knowingly - violate the mesh IP rights, or even the basic ToS itself. Now, the first time around, Christoph might've made a genuine bad. He might've paid some developer he never met or commissioned before - and has never uploaded anything to SL before and has no commercial presence whatsoever - hundreds or thousands of dollars donated by his devoted and loyal followers to make some new armor - even though in the past Kelkith and others with actual presences in SL have always made their gear with little to no issue - and the developer turned out to be a total fraud and uploaded someone else's work. Second time around, however, not only does this unknown developer rip off work from multiple people (the sights and attachments are not made by Gutter or Kelkith), Christoph takes it, a-oks it, and packs it up to sell as his own work. He hasn't just stepped into the IP minefield, he's purposely stepping on mines to see how long it takes before one of them explodes.
  20. They just released the FAMAS today on the marketplace, I believe. I have a copy, so if you want to see first hand just ask.
  21. Valcyion is Vanguard's store. The FAMAS is being sold commercially / for profit with no credit given to the original makers - DarkElfa and Schmung. Kelkith, Gutterblood, and 1000 are taking credit for it. This will not end well.

(for those whom haven't seen the Valcyion FAMAS, it is a direct rip off of the FAMAS in the links above)
  23. It is essentially the same model, aside from the rivulets / venting on the neck piece in the Fallout version (which likely was omitted - the texture around said neck piece is identical to the FO version). VG's response was to somehow get the creator onto their TeamSpeak, and now it's 'all taken care of'. Not sure whether they're referring to 1000 or the actual Russian-speaking creator. And yes Shizz, that's the model you paid for. You paid Christoph to have a 'friend' rip content from a video game and upload it as 'his own'. I'd be pretty pissed / wondering what my money's actually paying for if I was a VG trooper.
