  1. Pretty sure that's Ironostics.
  2. See if you can convince your friend to lend you his laptop and a USB stick, and see if you can download a redist of Linux Mint. Put it onto the USB as a mobile OS, use that to boot up, back up as much as you can and start downloading an OS image to make a disk out of. Mint - if your internet connection is fine it can download some basic drivers, but odds are you won't be able to hop on SL or anything. It's time consuming, but it's safe. If you can't even get that far, however, simply pack it up and take it to a computer hardware store - you may need a BIOS flash or reset, and that's not somethin' I'd recommend you do on your own.
  3. Halo: CE was actually a pretty decent game for its time. If it didn't cost as much as a brand new game I might actually look into the updated version. But only if they make the Library level somewhat bearable. I HATED THE LIBRARY. 2 was alright, 3 was quite simply mediocre. Reach was probably the best, and that's why I don't have much in the way of expectations for Halo 4.
  4. Aye, $2 million isn't a whole lot. Considering the paygrade that might keep their studio open for a year if they're only 4 or 5 guys. Voxel rendering is also what ZBrush and Mudbox use, or at least variations of it, hence how they're able to render millions of polygons at once without a skipped frame (whereas Maya and other programs will start to chug and burn out well before they hit the hundred-million area).
  5. Found 48 Games with a value of: $735.53 USD The actual total is likely higher as most of them were bought when their price was higher. x: As for Brink, it's a free weekend so it'll show up in everyone's stats.
  6. I'd take advantage of the chaos and expected glut of evacuation / refugees coming to Canada to instead go the other way and bunker down with Aryte. :]
  7. Eriksson Foxtrot: I think you're being quite normal? Eriksson Foxtrot: ... you're Canadian. Eriksson Foxtrot: Canadians are never make themselves an ass. Keller Teichmann: Canadians are never make good grammar either. Eriksson Foxtrot: ...............................
  8. A sequel to Constantine? Yey. World War Z? Fuck yes. Deadpool? Yey. Three more Pirates sequels? ;____; God no.
  9. Also, doubleposting be damned. Made it through customs :]
  10. Correction - within 1 meter of Aryte.
  11. Left 4 Dead 2; Price: $49.99 An expansion pack, basically. The addition of a few new zeds and weapons does not make it a new game. The new levels are also more or less derivatives of one another, and the only campaign that was genuinely interesting was Hard Rain and its random thunderstorms. Fallout: New Vegas; Price: $49.99 A great game, but unstable as hell. For almost eight months I could not play it at all because of a conflict a patch created with my motherboard / video card, and their support's response was more or less 'we already have your money, so it's not a pressing issue'. Now that it's patched, it's fun, but still notoriously unstable - I'm quicksaving literally at each hill top. Pariah; Price: $49.99 An older FPS I bought when I was on a TimeSplitters bend - it had a built in map-editor and had customizable weapons (to an extent). It was a pretty decent game, until I got near the end where the difficulty inexplicably ramped up and became nearly unbeatable due to the constant health-degrading flamethrowers and napalm cannons combined with a dire shortage of medkits (and instantly respawning endless hordes of bad guys that put MW to shame). If it had been priced like the B Game it was I probably wouldn't have it on this list though. X-COM Apocalypse (Steam version); Price: $4.99 Suffice to say, I would've rather have spent it on the original UFO Defense - the game I grew up with as a kid. ;[
  12. A merit for showing initiative / resourcefulness in combat (taking the initiative to lead raids / make improv'd maneuvers to great effect) / policy (coming up with a new, unique policy / solution to existing problems) / munitorum (making a really cool, unique gadget)? (or one for each category)
  13. Uhm, 12... 12... I was just starting to learn guitar and had images of stardom in my head. Then around the time I was nearing 13, I picked up Rhino and started doing 3d modelling. I MADE A FUCKING AWESOME FLASHLIGHT. As for other things, I was a total dweeb but played a damn good basketball for my age. Mainly because I had like, five inches on everyone else.
  14. Silencers are only useful if you're Recon (where you might not even get the unsilenced versions) or a stealthy Assault. They do noticeably less damage then the unsilenced versions, and the gain in accuracy isn't enough to really justify it. I usually roll as an Assault with the m14 or mx, and might switch to support once I have the LMG.
  15. Almost done reinstalling everything ;-;

  16. Filled a 32-player server to capacity. Was absolutely nuts - the Ghost was being used every round, and it was in general pretty awesome. Kellervo713 is my SteamID.
  17. There's usually a presence... well, whenever I boot it up. A few folks followed me from TF2 to play NeoTokyo, and generally once you have 4 or 5 folks playing, the rest of the server quickly fills up. It's not really 'dead', just hibernating.
  18. Does that make Tiri and Agares like, a two-headed George Lucas?
  19. Contrary to popular belief, being an officer is not all fun and games - we tend to avoid taking on additional roles unless it's absolutely necessary. Generally when an officer takes on an additional role, it is due to necessity, but furthermore often with the intention of mentoring someone below them to eventually take the role for themselves. Willingness to do the job is but one factor when it comes to making a good officer, other things need to be taught or otherwise engrained. Case in point, when I was first chosen for the Invictus XO role, I was more then willing - but I honestly didn't know what the hell I was doing, and Invictus suffered for a few weeks as a result.
  20. Is having ISP trouble yet again. Seriously, they must be intentionally trying to piss people off at this point. :|

  21. Mesh has been long overdue, and it seems to be in a state of perpetual flux. They've been 'working out the small details' for months, and presumably it is IP protection that's holding it back at this time, thanks to some beta participants trying to see how many game assets they could rip. :/
  22. ^ is correct. < prefers chocolate ice cream specifically. :x v is a heretic who prefers vanilla.
