It really is. The only options you get for your weapons are for 1-day and 3-day purchases. The rest require bought currency. Also, the mechanics of the game mimic MOH's system, instead of Battlefield or BC. I tear people to pieces with my starter MG3.

Well, apparently if you own a copy of Bad Company 1 or 2, you'll get a code automatically when you login with that account. Which is completely contradictory, because after playing this for an hour, i'm going back to BC2. I'm not gonna spend RL money on something that I can unlock in an already-owned game with only mild to moderate effort.

Downloading now. Sent most of you buddy requests.

Same. xD From what I saw, it -is- Battlefield 2, but with all of BC2's weapons. It has BF2's maps, vehicles, and everything.

Priceless.

Hopefully so. I actually managed to run the game on all high settings through the tutorial and first 10 minutes of the game before my PC locked up and I was forced to reboot. It's absolutely stunning if you can ramp the settings that high. I made the comment about the EVE-like graphics mostly because of the character creation. The textures and the modeling really has that EVE setup, and the darker graphics style makes it feel that way as well. It seems that my gameplay has stabilized a bit since i docked down the graphics to a medium-ish setting. Was still kinda stunned that an Nvidia GTS250 card would have such issues, but it might also be that I'm only rocking 3 gigs of ram too.

Been trying to pinpoint my graphics settings on this game for about 2 hours now, so it doesn't try to crash after an hour of playtime. Other than that, this game is beautiful. The dogfights get pretty intense as well, and they're even more hectic with the first-person cockpit view. This game does feel like a more personalized form of EVE Online though, and I keep hearing rumors that it's based off of that setup. Dunno if it's true though, but the graphics do scream out EVE.

My older brother is the only one who's been sending me gifts over steam, and I know all of his usernames by heart (Since he only uses one.) But this is good info to have. Thank you.

Priceless.

Thanks Des. A bunch of people at my high school made a giant memorial poster for him and the school signed it, including me. My two friends Kyle and Nate were on his team AND playing at that game when it happened. Nate doesn't look the same and Kyle's pretty much begun to shelter himself entirely. I honestly feel worse because I feel bad for Matt, AND my buddies who got to watch the whole thing happen.

http://www.coloradoan.com/article/20110308/NEWS01/103080332/Death-of-peer-met-with-support-system An old buddy of mine from a High School i had to switch out of due to moving through households. I heard about this today from my good friend Kyle, who was on his team during the game. At first i didn't really feel much about it, but now i'm slowly kinda drooping into a depression, so i'll just say that I won't be myself for a few days. RIP Matthew Hammerdorfer.

The ability to manipulate gravity to suit certain needs. (IE: To levitate, to move objects, to use as a weapon, or to form a barrier against physical items such as bullets or natural hazards like fire or explosions.)

World War II Online: Battleground Europe

If you already have an account set up in the game, it'll ask you about it when you log into the main website. I made an account back in 2006 and forgot about it, and they asked me about the free trial upon logging back in. -
I got into Second Life around 2008, when i noticed that one of my old WoW buddies wasn't logging on quite as much as she used to. I gave her a call and had a few chats, and she began talking about Second Life. So i kinda thought i'd give it a try and see how bad it could really be, and made my account. At the time, my friend's (Sorta) big brother had begun to enlist into the U.S Marine Corps, and by the time I had finally began to take off in SL, he had already been shipped to Afghanistan and I had never heard about him since. So I decided to name an avatar after him, and attempt to try and be a total badass, since the RL Lanny had been placed into 1st Force Recon within the Marines. I started out as a CCS goon. I ended up in a sim called Damnation for a while, and tried to work with the meter, eventually beginning to get pretty good. But one small mix-up went by in a fight and i was somehow banned from the sim for TP'ing out of a fight. Although nobody had ever informed me of such infractions since i was a complete noob to it all, i found it annoying and moved around the sims for a while, going back and forth from a sim called "Crossroads". From there I found another CCS sim named "Danger Point", and i decided to hop over there, since I was getting incredibly bored with the Victorian / Old west feel. DP was more modern-day anyway. It was there that i met my one true friend in SL, by the name of Alayna Kolache, who was a DP Admin at that time, a GM for the sim (CCS-wise), and pretty much the only person there who actually used guns. Back then, she was also a Beta Tester for Breach, but she gave that up a while back. There was a bit of a firefight in the sim, and she noticed how well i handled myself, despite my level, and offered me a position with her RP corporation as Danger Point's Port Authority and Hired Merc service, "Wyvern Trade Securities". She was the one who taught me everything there was about using a firearm for CCS combat, and we spent the next year and a half Roleplaying, fighting, sparring, and training. It got to a point to where I had actually beaten her in a fight with my M14, despite a 26-level difference. Well, time passed, things slowly crumbled, and I met a furry by the name of Nathaniel Zanzibar, who came to Danger Point for RP, and to shoot stuff. And after a while, he started getting kinda frustrated because I would constantly beat him in fights, even at even levels. So he went over to the Osiris sims for a while, and after a while I took a visit. Turns out, this was to be the first encounter with Huttser Ishelwood of my slowly-forming career. Long-story-short, the Osiris sim folded in, and I returned to DP. End of '09 - start of '10 came by, and i decided to surf through profiles out of boredom. I discover that Nate had the Ordo Imperialis in his profile picks, along with the LM to Titan, and i ask him about it. After a quick chat, i TP in. I must've looked like a total tool at that time, being that I was decked head to toe in MTG Tactical Gear, with a Breach SCAR on my chest. After a quick chat and a look-around, I pick up an application form from the HUB, and got permission to put Nate and Huttser's names down as Referrals. (Nathaniel is also Shurya Koronikov, in case i'm using the wrong name.)

I would personally love to see a solid replacement to the Mk.11 (Our Ordo Sniper Rifle.) Mostly for the fact that next to nobody uses it, and i personally don't enjoy any actual AR conversions. I was hoping for maybe a solid DMR like the M14, or the M21 EBR simply for the notion that all of our stuff is futuristic, and the M21 EBR looks like a damn plastic spacegun. If used properly, it could also provide some decent mid-long range suppressive cover, and teach others not to camp around that corner alley that's literally only 10-15 meters away from the OpFor spawn. This is only a theory though. EDIT: Also, from what i know of, there's only three companies so-far that make a solid combat-worthy M14 / M21. That's Breach, Delta One, and Mistral Munitions. I have Breach's M14, but it's typical old-world Breach and badly needs rescripting or full-on retirement. The Delta One version looks promising, and i've yet to try MM's M14 / M21.

To a degree, yes. But i understand why they did it. I remember back a while ago when there was a giant mess of server issues going around, where everyones' games would crash and boot them back to their garages after about 2-5 minutes. I believe they needed to do the split because the load on their servers was too high and was starting to crack at the seams. Most likely they'll be merging the two servers again, but they probably still need to aquire a sturdier server setup first.

Don't need the gold, personally. It pretty much just pools up in my account until i spend a bit on an EXP boost or screw around and buy a Matilda or Valentine. (Side note: It took 7 full turret hits by a Wespe to kill my Matilda.) Also, i'm working my way up to the M26 Pershing. Screw the IS-7 and its inability to move fast around turns.

Evil Dead 3 "Army of Darkness". Probably one of the most memorable scenes in film history. />http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=twcK2T6aeXY

Thanks Aryte! yeah, i'm truly not a furry artist. Not because I have a predjudice, but only because I have no experience with drawing them. My art style is also kinda wacky, being that it's a combination of my dad's art style, and a bit of anime.

Good idea. I might even just remove it entirely, to remove some clutter and make the poster seem more straightforward.
-
So whilst preparing for bed, I had an idea for a series of posters to slap around the sim, based off of Ron Bleac's speech about leadership roles. So i kinda developed a concept. My original idea was to have it completely colorized and cel-shaded, and probably remove a ton of the excess clutter. Here it is. I am open to suggestions and criticism. Also, i do not own photoshop, so i can only go as far as conventional colors go.

Yes! we've got Arokh into the fray. Also, I may need to devise a method to provide him with impovised Javelins. Hey, if you've got a decent straight stick with a weight at one end, might as well try and throw it at the gunslingers.

World War II Online: Battleground Europe

They've put a free-to-play option into the game, from what i see. The only issue is that it SEVERELY limits your options. You can only reach level 2, play a Rifleman or Submachine Gunner, and a few other things. But i will say that it'll let you play the first few tiers of the vehicles, seeing as i could spawn a Panzer II on my own without any problems. I think i might actually enjoy being a tank driver. :3
