P.S, the Medal of Honor franchise has sucked since Pacific Assault came out back in the day. EA games uses the franchise as an emergency cash cow now. I don't expect it to be good. Never did. EDIT: Just played the Multiplayer Open beta. They've fixed quite a few things from what i've seen, and the fast-paced action definately enhances the feel. The weapon options are limited, i agree. But the reason why is that EA / DICE wanted to depict Modern Warfare as realistically as possible. So yeah, you won't be seeing any Tier 1's or Army Rangers swingin' RPD's around. All of the classes have two seperate variants. Rifleman gets the M16 / M203 as a start, and as you level the class, you unlock updated parts, like the EoTech, an extra mag, and supressor. At level 4, you unlock the LMG (M249 or the PKM.) where the sight and mags are included. Spec Ops gets the M4 and the AK-74SU to start. (Krinkov AK-74. Tanker Model.) At level 4 you get Combat Shotguns (Remington 870 or some other Russian Shotgun.) Same mods apply. Snipers start with the M21 or the Dragunov SVD, which is classified as a Battle Rifle. AKA: They come stock with an Eotech or the Russian variant. Level 4 unlocks Bolt-Action Rifles. I like it. I might get it by Christmas or somethin'.

Lulz. Back when i lived in the Prairie, there was a rumor that my house was built on the land of an Indian Burial Grounds, but meh.... But then we started believing it because wierd shit started happening. Like, things dissappearing, and stuff falling off of shelves that nobody can reach, doors slamming with no wind, etc... And the Cats apparently could see things because they used to just stare at the ceiling for like 10 solid minutes. But! my mother is not only jewish, but is also an old follower and practicer of Wiccan White Magic and Witchcraft, so she has this giant Storage Bin for off stuff that she uses to do little Spells and Incantations on Houses she lives in to keep the Spirits from entering. Also, we never bring the same brooms from one house to another. Apparently it's bad Voodoo and it allows angry Spirits into your home. >_> I actually flipped through a few pages of a book my mom has. There's a whole bunch of stuff that seems too good to be true, but might be possible (Like literally, shit you see in RPG's. Increased Strength, Increased Luck, etc..)

....Have you seen the Graphics of Second Life? yeah, you need a decent card, but the graphics quality is basically the same no matter what card you use. Seriously, the only thing that looks like it could use a good Card are avatars. All of the buildings, textures, shapes, etc... still look as dated as they did back in the mid-late 2000's. But if you're running the high-end stuff as well, then meh. Apples and Oranges really. My setup can play Fallout 3 on Very High quality, and now that i have the fan speeds set right, MW2 runs really well. And i have an ASUS EAH4850 TOP.

It's DDR2, so you should be fine. Most cards that do higher than DDR3 are specifically designed for Intel i-series boards, so the DDR2 stuff fits most of anything older than that.

Yeah, i'm going with Intus on this. You can go buy two sticks of RAM at 2Gigs a piece for a relatively low price since the i7 rigs and such came out that can hold like 8-16+ gigs of RAM and multiple video cards. To be honest, your stuff is a bit above mine, but i would probably trail a close second or third with your specs. Also being that the Euro has a slightly higher value than the US Dollar, if you buy the RAM from an online site (Like Newegg, which is my favorite). You'd probably get even more of a deal.

What do you listen to while you....
Lanny Ansar replied to ZeroNightmare Kaventipovic's topic in Audio & Video
I watched this video for about 3 minutes, and then stopped because my brain could not take the amount of absurdity involved in this. "Water, Air, Fire, Dirt. Fuckin' Magnets, how do they work?" And then i saw the SNL parody of this where they go "Fuckin' Blankets, how do they work?" P.S, this song is very catchy. But it is indeed, very Flamboyantly gay. And with that, i now need to go find the nearest JCPenny or Old Navy Store and pick out some tight jeans and very colorful scarves and Fedoras. (Sarcasm) -
Call of Duty 6: Modern Warfare 2
Lanny Ansar replied to Kastrenzo Benelli's topic in Gaming Discussion
These are my current Stats and the only two rigs i actually use. I mostly play TDM, Domination and Demolition. Any map does alright for me as long as the team i'm in isn't full of 4-year olds. -
Meh. Turbine has got this Free to Play bug lately. Dungeons and Dragons Online has been a free-to-play game for about 6 months to a year now, and to be honest, their population and subscribers went way up because of it. LOTRO had a solid player base as it is, and with F2P coming up, they're expecting the population to at least increase a little bit. If all else fails, i know a few stable Freebie WoW servers i can jump into. Plus many more Free MMO's that i can play. I just don't feel like shelling out $15 a month again for the same corrupt and non-helpful community. If i wanted that, i'd go back to WoW.

Yeah...i stopped playing EVE at about 4 of the 14 Days in the Trial. After losing 3 Cormorants and about 4 assorted Frigates to a single piece of a Mission because the player base of the Rookie Corp i was in is strictly devoted to providing useless info, Noob Spam, and excuses as to why they can't stop Mining for 10 minutes or fucking with the Market to help a single guy out.... Yeah, no wonder i quit EVE back in 2006. And now that Lord of the Rings Online is hitting Free-to-Play status in the Fall....I think i'll just wait. EDIT: Also, 30-day PLEX cards are 300 Million ISK+ a piece. Meaning unless you can powerlevel enough in a 14-day trial to hit at least level 3 Missions, you basically still have to pay for the Game and the $15 a month just to get that far.

Oh hell yeah, Satirical Essays are great! Ironic and Cynical Humor is welcome too.

That almost looks too good to be true. If they manage to make the actual gameplay look like that (Which from what i saw, Eidos got some Support from Square Enix, so it's possible)....gaming will change. Things will change.

So yeah...post your witty Humor here. Jokes, Pictures, Puns, etc... No nasty stuff unless you can get someone to not ban your ass for posting it. So here's a joke. So the Lone Ranger and Tonto ride around a bend only to be confronted by a hundred hostile pissed off Indians..Lone Ranger looks to Tonto and says: "We're in a heap of trouble Tonto!"..Tonto looks at him and says: "What this WE shit, paleface?"

Problem with graphic's card
Lanny Ansar replied to MikeMurdock McMillan's topic in General Discussion
It might not be the Card. You might need to buy some better cooling for your PC. I know my Card used to bust out and hit 80+ degrees C when i'd play Modern Warfare 2 for more than 30 minutes, but i managed to adjust the fan speeds on my BIGASS box fans in my box and now things seem to run better. I also have this added program that came with my Card called "ASUS SmartDoctor" that regulates my fan speeds according to internal temperature. If all else fails, buy bigger fans for the inside. The largest one i've got is my 120mm LED Fan sitting on the back wall of the box by the Motherboard and under my graphics card. That's about as big as it gets until you upgrade to watercooled. 120mm Fan. The LED one i have was $20. It's mostly finding room for the thing that's a problem, since it's bigger than those square paper beer coasters you find at bars. -
Call of Duty 6: Modern Warfare 2
Lanny Ansar replied to Kastrenzo Benelli's topic in Gaming Discussion
Adding friendzorz. >_> Steam Username: Officejesus / Ianwrym I play MW2 about an hour or two on-and off during the week. No prestige / Level 62 I do gun swaps quite a bit during intermissions. I also screw around by putting akimbo weapons in both weapon slots. (Yesterday i did Akimbo P90's with Akimbo P2000's.) Scavenger Pro / Stopping Power Pro / Steady Aim Pro. Adding you all to ze list. And yes, i will totally play Spec Ops on veteran. -
Call of Duty: Black Ops. Yeah, it's Treyarch (Call of Duty: World at War) but they've hopefully learned from their mistakes. EA DICE is cool and all, but the only games they've ever really did server support for were Battlefield-related from what i've seen. I mean really, Battlefield Heroes is EA DICE, and all it is is a tiny-scale Battlefield Game with cartoony cel-shaded graphics and a system where you have to pay RL money to get anything worth a damn. MOHAA was EALA's first and only real masterpiece. Seriously. The game that arrived after MOHAA was MOH: Pacific Assault. And nobody could play that game the first year of release because it was SO buggy, and SO awkward. EALA had their chance, and i still will not have any hopes for them making a good game again.

Cyphre: Janeway's an Admiral now. Got a bigass promotion when the Voyager made it home from the Delta Quadrant. She's a desk jockey now. Picard is the Ambassador to Vulcan in STO. Spock is still alive somehow, and the Romulan Star Empire is crumbling because they kept the plot from the J.J Abrams Star Trek and said their star systems' Sun went Supernova and vaporized Romulus and Remus. Klingons though it'd be funny to start scooping up the remains of Romulan Space in the name of Wrinkly foreheads, along with being sketchy and trying to take planets that are under Federation control. Feds tell them "YOU SHALL NOT PASS!" and they go "Orly?" and set Phasers to conflict. Oh! and a piece of the Borg Collective got hit with some sort of virus and got torn away from the Hive. so now instead of assimilating to enhance their tech, they're just trying to downright kill everything. Problem is, your first tutorial missions involve destroying Borg cubes and shit (Which TOTALLY goes against what the movies and shows made the borg into). <- Star Trek Nerd since Age 3. I gave up on trying to like Cryptic and STO. Cryptic had enough on their plate with Champions Online, and then threw it over the edge by snagging STO before anyone else could. And STO even LOOKS like a rushed job. I mean, it looks like Champions in Space. P.S, don't bother with the demo. You'll beat it in an hour, and then you'll be stuck flying around in your newbie ship, trying to enter other systems besides Sol, being greeted every time with the giant "Subscribe to access this" box. Then a Klingon tries to attack you, you get the box, the Klingon gets sent home. You take a mission, big subscribe box. I mean, really. They only let you get to level 3. Freakin' Lieutenant JG 3.

I'm downloading EVE right now. Gonna work the 14-day trial for a while, and hopefully manage to either scrounge some RL cash or buy my game time with PLEX. FireFox, i'd join your corp and take the 51 days, but i don't have a credit card of my own (Pay Cash / Check on virtually EVERYTHING), and i don't have $5 on me right now. Hey, i don't have a job, and i live with my parents still. The Job market sucks when the government legally labels you as disabled simply because you're bipolar.

As i remember hearing in an old episode of family guy: "They never have any violence in England! the most they have is drive-by....arguements." Oh Wimbledon......I DISAGREE! *Screeeeeeeech*

Reminds me of the one day that me and my Dad nearly burned down our house, the neighbor's house, and both of our 80-acre lots with them. Colorado, VERY hot and dry August day, broad daylight. We lived out in the prairie, about 2-5 miles from the rockies, and we have virtually no grass. It's all dry brush, tumbleweeds, and small cactus plants. Dad and i decide to go out shooting at our makeshift shooting range about 50-100 yards from our house, so we take out the AK's, some Handguns, our two Browning .30cals (One in .308 and the other in 30-06), and our big baby, the Browning M2. Well, Dad has a brainfart in the process of getting .30cal ammo ready and forgets to remove the Tracer rounds from the Belts in the cans. So we set up a .30, and bust off about 10 rounds or so. 3 tracers go winging right into the giant shrub patch in front of the dirt burm, and catch fire instantly. We literally stood there and blinked for about...8 seconds at most, and then the entire burm was in flames. The next 2 hours or so was spent doing home-made Firefighting, in which 40 of our acres was charred black, and about 40 of the neighbor's (Which was thankfully an empty lot) was charred. We held it off with mop buckets, recycle bins, trashcans, a water hose, and a Minivan, until finally my Dad finally said "We're boned, call the fire department." Now, my dad has the mentality of George Patton, so him having a "We're Boned" moment was pivotal. I literally imitated a Kenyan back to the house, called the Fire department, told them where we were, and as they were arriving, we packed all of the weapons into the van, because the Po-po wouldn't like seeing an array of Large mounted weapons in someone's yard. Now, my Dad was 54 at the time, multiple blown out disks in his back, healed broken neck, damaged kneecap. He literally yanked the .50cal off of the quad-mount fully assembled, and launched it into the back of the minivan. The mount was just as bad, since the base is made of solid brass. We drove off and back to the rental the family had, since the Prairie house was under construction, and my Dad was like "Son, you've got some serious balls. Most kids would see that and go curl up in their rooms and hide." First real compliment and thank you i've really recieved from my father since i was 9 or 10 years old.

I'm sticking to SP2, since i've been hearing mixed and bad reviews about SP3. And SP2 hasn't been much of a problem for me at all. Most modern games can still be run on SP2, so i'll only upgrade when i have to. But yeah, Windows XP disks are SO easy to torrent now. It's mostly just finding a product key and then having to ignore the Windows Genuine Advantage Notifications that appear when Windows boots. Which even then, there's a hack on the net that turns that off as well. Personally, for viruses, i use AVG Free. Runs a scan for me every day at 10:00 AM and updates itself either daily or weekly to keep up with Virus evolution. Also, with booting to redo windows, go into the CMOS settings and set it to where your PC boots to your CD / DVD ROM drive, then open the drive, shut down, insert CD, then restart (And prolly close the drive too, but mine's a desktop so it'll do that automatically). It'll instead read the bootup sequence from the CD, instead of your virused Hard Drive. Yadda yadda. Also, you can install drivers from the same PC as well. Just run your system in Safe Mode (With Networking, just in case), and go onto the internet and download 'em. I had to learn all of this myself when i moved to Colorado, since my brother stayed in Florida and paying buku bucks to ship a PC halfway across the US was a bit much. Also, If UPS notices something rattle in the box, they automatically claim the right to use your package as a basketball. My PC has some decent battle scars from this. My brother recieved my box one time and had to bang out dents in the case with a Hammer.

I like the chestpiece idea, especially the neck armor attached to the shoulder area. You have no idea how many IRL Body armor manufacturers leave that out and then they lose their contracts because too many of their customers at war end up taking a bullet to the neck and dying instantly. Also, a suggestion. I saw the outside chest armor (I call 'em football pads half the time because they have big goofy shoulderpads) only went down to about the Pec area of the chest. My idea was to have a smaller plate in that groove of the chest that goes to about....mid-torso? (And of course have it angled at the end so it doesn't look like a steel square was taped there). So then all that's exposed really is that space between the belt and the mid-torso (About a few inches worth of stomach, which can be armored with a kevlar-lined shirt inside). Also, i came up with the idea of the crotch armor that attached directly to the belt, and covered some of the belt front, and went down to the crotch. I know, you'd ask "Then how do you remove the belt if it's in the way of the buckle?" well, you have the plate strapped to the front of the belt with those ol'fashioned GI issue straps and buttons, and the buckle hides underneath the plate. But i mean, nobody will see that anyway, since belts don't come off that way in SL. Just the two cents from another artist and concept designer. -Lanny

These are my two Cats, Mayhem (White) and Madness (Black). I had a MUCH fatter, Longhaired version of Mayhem that we first got in Florida and named him Mischief. Our cat before that was Mayhem's breed, and was named Trouble. My brother took that one. The white one's considered a Champaigne-tipped Birman, except in a Shorthair version. We have no effin' idea what the black cat is. Then my Dad has Mischief, and The O.G of our cats, Starr, who's about 9-11 years old now, full-blood Black Bombay, and hates everyone except me and my Dad. And is HIGHLY paranoid.

Oh, i remember the MG3....basically the MG42 reqorked and calibered for .308 instead of 8mm. I (Well not me personally, but my family) owned both models. The MG42 and the MG3. We could never actively fire them like we wanted to because they were loud, even for the prairie mountains of Colorado, and they EASILY attract unwanted Police attention. So Dad would usually fire the MG3 in the air during celebrations and holidays and quick few-round bursts as to not wake our neighbors 3 miles away at 10:00 at night on a Wednesday. >_>

What do you listen to while you....
Lanny Ansar replied to ZeroNightmare Kaventipovic's topic in Audio & Video
For some reason i totally forgot how to post youtube videos. Meh. But yeah, i listen to Tool during any form of First or Third Person Combat (Along with other things, of course, but Tool songs seem to give my actions a bit of momentum) I inherited this trait from my buddy Tony, when we'd do the Halo 3 campaign on Legendary while blasting Tool at full volume. We were also choir kids from Freshman to early junior year of high school, so we'd also sing along loudly, match pitch, and have the tenor / bass 2-part harmony. P.S, yes, Tool videos are wierd.
