The Everlasting Snowmew Copyright Vio!

Quoted for epic point. But I wouldn't blame him. He's probably realized, with Uildiar's help, that his own shitstained tail is scary and, for the betterment of YouTube and all of society, Lord Christoph Naumova, the UBER GOOD VANGARD SOLJA, graced us all with his divine intervention, saving us from the very horrors he unleashed upon the world. How good natured and thoughtful, not to mention generous, of him. -

I rip textures.
-
I only rip textures when I need an old deleted texture from a gun I've made. I also do it to get armor textures and whatnot so I can make mods to my gear. The epaulets I wear are someone else's, only I reuploaded them. They have my name on them, but I wish they didn't. It's extremely easy to steal textures, to the point of absurdity. In terms of prim copying, all someone needs is your mod rights or an object with mod privs. This is why professional weapon vendors do not generally give out any weapons with mod rights, because with mod combined with GL Intercept, all it takes is a few hours to steal something. Mind you that there are very legitimate reasons for doing any of these things as I've been put into positions where I've lost my own content (due to LL's terrible ability to keep the perms system in check) and needed to recreate it or otherwise regain it. In most regards, however, these processes are illegal and you may be permanently banned for them if discovered to have used them to ill means. As far as copybotting goes, it is possible to get banned for it outright for any reason, even if used only on your own content. I know someone who had this happen to him, and he was none too pleased, but LL did not give him any leniency. The original copybot has long since been destroyed. A lot of vendors and sim operators still believe the "!quit" shouters work, but they're being scammed; the copybot those worked on has been disabled entirely by LL, and very few copybots work nowadays. Even if they did, the system would stampede right over those so-called "security systems". Copybots still exist, they're just always changing and most of the more powerful ones are underground and kept within a few friends, which is why Linden Lab isn't able to procure them and reverse engineer them for sabotaging purposes.

Ethan, for his amazing scripting abilities and his even more amazing tolerance for my requests on the weapon features. x)

They're black combat outfits with a tac-vest... that's like saying we shouldn't sell P90s in Titan Industries because Stargate has them.
-
That's amazing, Dagger. Looks like a police outfit with a Kevlar Tac-Vest. We could have a sculpted kevlar vest that's modifiable, the ability to add different pouches like magazine holsters and radios.
-
Never thought of that, but that'd be aweshum.

With shitty controls. The zombie apocalypse wouldn't be so fucking bad if people didn't move like they had leprosy, rheumatoid arthritis, and dislocated joints on all four limbs. -

I was just about to IM you before you bumped the thread, because there was no info posted as to how to apply. I'm interested in the position. Thank you. -
Welcome to Ordo, Anly! :) I was quite happy to bring you up to speed in SL, and I'm glad you're slipping into Ordo as well. I might be busy sometimes, but feel free to ask me for help. ^^

I have faith you, Sosarin.

When I was in the Mercz I remember certain members complaining about how Ordo was disorganized and unprofessional to be using Fairlight weaponry. That said, my next best guess would be the killing of competition for Operations. There were also false concerns about lag with any weaponry other than Operations, even when shown weapon performance test logs, which included script time and IPS taken in a blank Class 5 sim. The claim that everyone's own guns don't lag as much as the rest is a bold one, and everyone makes this claim often. Some give that assumption leeway and others do not. The Merczateers have chosen not to. That said, it's their sim and therefore those are their rules. We can't do anything about it.

Nope. I checked. Nope. No. No. The problem only shows up in Second Life. Additionally, I crash. A lot. That never happened before Nvidia fucked up my computer. I made no client-related changes. Also, when starting up SL right after booting my computer, my screen goes black for a moment and then pops back up okay. This didn't happen before. I -could- try reinstalling my client, I'll do that when I get the chance. EDIT: Also crashes when I turn Atmospheric Shaders on. I turned them off earlier today, I can't set it back on. Reinstall did nothing. I disabled palletized textures to no avail whatsoever. However, the crashes seemed to subside quite a bit.

Okay, so I installed an Nvidia 9600 GT OC the other day, and it died on me and failed to start. Uninstalled it, uninstalled the drivers, then reinstalled the older ATI 2600 XT. With the most recent drivers. Well, since then, my screen has been giving me really strange red tints to certain parts of certain gray textures. It only does this in Second Life, and I'm still trying to figure out why. I figured it was the most recent ATI drivers because they were making me crash in other games continuously anyway, so I did a System Restore to roll back to my older ATI drivers. The computer has stopped crashing, but I'm still getting these strange colors on my screen. Now this wouldn't bother me all that much, I've been living with it so far. But I can't really start texturing any gun builds until I get this problem fixed because I'm finding it impossible to differentiate fine details in the textures I'm using. Any ideas how to fix this? Anyone?

Battlezone 1 was fun too. :< I never played BZ2 though.

[2008/11/26 9:20] Piper Zuhal: ohhhh can i get your opinion on my new weapon we're going to use [2008/11/26 9:20] Piper Zuhal: it's a mortar, basically it's like a missile but less accurate and with a steep arc, the idea is it'll be able to come OVER the wall and blow up [2008/11/26 9:21] Piper Zuhal: force you guys to come and fight us face to face instead of all standing still behind a wall [2008/11/26 9:21] Keystone Gray: Yes, you're allowed to use that, but -try- not to use it in the hub. :) [2008/11/26 9:21] Keystone Gray: We have mortars too, I'm sure you've realized, so don't be surprised if we counter. :P [2008/11/26 9:21] Piper Zuhal: okay ^.^
