  1. You know, thats the server i played on and I saw a RIff and thought ... nooo thats too convenient. in other news, so far the beta has: 8.5 billion points of damage done to players 5.8 billion points of damage done to vehicles 535 million shots fired 194.6 million shots hit 6.3 million player deaths 2.3 million rockets launched 571 thousand grenades thrown Empire allegiance breakdown: Terran Republic: 34.67% New Conglomerate: 32.96% Vanu Sovereignty: 32.37%
  2. Does anyone play this? I got beta access but dont have time to play it. I wouldnt mind making time for a moderate sized ordo night though. From what ive seen and from my PS1 experience I think this could have a good chance of being a fun alternative event for Ordo. Its free, its massive, it requires special tactics, team-building condusive. ect.
  3. Ive heard that VS is the least rewarding of any class to play. Lol. Damn Barneys.

  5. A few of my RL friends said they got their access today, got codes via twitter.
  6. Ill start by an over-due announcement (its out derp) of ZBR4R4 (read: Zbrush 4 Release 4) http://www.pixologic...ures/ZBrush4R4/ It includes some... well... just some really sick new features :D First and foremost: new topology methods http://www.pixologic...her-retopology/ Including Qremesher, assuming thats something taken from Qmesh in blender. In addition to that, there is a new standard topology tool which any zbrush user can tell you was the hardest and lengthiest part of our process. This means people like myself (AND YOU AT HOME ;o) will no longer need to go to maya, topogun, 3dcoat, ect, for a way to retopology our high poly reference models. SO GOOD. If you are unfamiliar with zbrush in general, it is the most artist-friendly modeling method I know of. When I say "artist friendly" I do not mean to or intend to discredit or say people who prefer the more classic modeling style (maya, blender, ect) are not artists. Simply that this method of sculpting and essentially handed clay to create your work is more traditional artist friendly. Not digital artist friendly. Anyway, figured since I get asked about zbrush all the friggin time, I can make a thread so I dont repeat answers. So shoot.
  7. Dude, mopeds are Ffffing cool. As long as you arent going very far. As far as your limitations on the bike Arokh, its silly if you actually limit yourself. As long as you arent making a scene, or exceeding the streets speed limit by a notable amount you arent going to get hassled. And they arent psychic and can see that you have a limited motorcycle license :P Im interested to see when you get a bike with some real power. I had a 150cc back in freshman year of HS. Im sure your street bike has some nicer tuning and whatnot and is more powerful, but ive messed around on my friends CBR600 I think it is? And -that- is a fun ride. Oh... and I dont know if the spike strip motorcycle thing is true. Im from dallas and in general police dont want to physically stop a motorcyclist unless its with a roadblock of cars bumper to bumper. Ive seen them stop someone like this, I presume its because any physical interactions on a biker with a car is most likely gunna end up with a dead biker. Run over or sent flipping down the highway at 70+ MPH like a ragdoll.
  8. Yes please. http://deadpoolgame.com/ />http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DWw5X9o-cyk&feature=player_embedded
  9. ^ pretty much the reason. End of Nations is more MMORTS but its obviously gunna be a chunk of C&C sales. Im upset about this because free means no/limited single player. http://www.commandandconquer.com/free/ [media]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kjZEInQZA0c&feature=player_embedded The upside is it looks really good. Frostbite 2 may prove to be effective RTS as well as FPS engine.
  10. Update: its been made Free to play now :o
  11. Business models change, they are still producing great quality stuff. Their tech is always evolving or boundaries being pushed. Yes EA is making them a more money focused branch but they arent degrading quality. Theres a chance that BF4 may be the first to do so, but all we know right now is that we can expect it in about a year maybe longer and that it is going to be modern still. While I give them a furrowed brow for the still modern part, I still have high hopes that BF4 will bring something new to the table. Since stagnation isnt really a trait they have, and is the real issue with CoD. If CoD were releasing a new game every year but there was innovation it wouldnt be so much a problem. Its the "lets see how long we can get away with using this engine weve used since the 90s" attitude that is sickening.
  12. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Battlefield_video_games They generally release a game every 2 years.
  13. razer makes the coolest shit. Its overpriced but seriously, coolest shit. If you could somehow get minimap feeds on that for BF3, PS2, ARMA ect, that would make a siiiiiick pilot peripheral
  14. I think this was the guy that ran around with rainbows and welcomed everyone with pleasantries and cupcakes. (wb Tiri)
  15. Developing for console is easier. The reasons being 1: a hard-limit on technology and 2: more accessible customer base. Its much much much easier to drop $199 every 5-10 years for a new console than it is to constantly update your PC or spend 500-1000 in the same time span for a new one. This is why more people play console. PC limits are hard to judge when it comes to development. BF3 for example trashes most peoples PC or forced many people to upgrade and spend the same they would spend on getting a new console for a new vid card or ram or something. as for the kids asking parents to buy games not being gamers, seeing as Ive played and been a "gamer" since I was very very young on an old DOS PC and original consoles I dont think thats necessarily true. Talented? Debatable. Some kids are good, some arent. I ran in Soldier of Fortune II and Tribes 2 Ladders for a long time when I was like .... 10-13?
  16. their twitter feed keeps dropping hints for people to keep checking, and that itll happen "soon" "any day" shit like that.
  17. you may be a fluke? I only say so because every other twitter or "priority beta" key ive talked to hasnt gotten yet, and their official statement on time release says that right now it -should- be only active and inactive PS1 vets (inactive if they signed up for beta before launch)
  18. most of the EVE people are just going to be using the DUST people as in-game tools. IE hiring out mercenaries to capture certain areas. I dont suspect a ton of cross-over players. @Krow Console has more FPS gamers than PC currently (in total). Especially in games like Call of Duty. BF3 also has a decent PS3 community. Re: DUST http://www.ign.com/articles/2012/08/09/dust-514-expands-eve-integration-supports-keyboardmouse
